View Full Version : ewww sorry - q about worms & bf
Sorry in advance everyone - just a quick question.... I think my 3yo ds might have worms so I've got the syrup to give to him tomorrow (then I have fun washing laundry day yay!!)....My question is does anyone know if it's ok to have the worm medicine while I'm bfing the baby? I probably don't have worms but I was thinking it'd be good to have the medicine just in case I do otherwise we'll all just keep reinfecting each other. I do have some ebm in the freezer so if I really need to i can give him that and express and throw it out for a day or so - but it's so heartbreaking to throw that precious milk out!! If any of you have been in the same boat I'd love some advice. Thanks.
Sorry I only saw the medicines and bfing thread but I don't know how to move this one over...will go and have a look through there.

I thought my DD migth have had them, and got the combantrin choc tablets, the pharmacist said it was fine for me to take, but there were 2 dif ones, and this one was better than the other. She said if DS (9months at the time) def had them, he could have the choc tablets too, but only if i def seen them with him. I;d just give the pharmacy where you bought it from a call to check.

I call this number 1300 633 424 it's a medicine hotline, you will speak to
a RN and if they can't help you they transfer you to a pharmacist who also work there, they have been really helpful with questions and will also tell you from what book/guide/source they are getting their info from
