OMG Please READ!

I have just had 3 positive BFP!!! One the test was darker than the control, and all three came up straight away and VERY dark. I have been feeling sick, so I tested.

I cant believe it, I am in shock!! I was just told a few weeks ago I had PCOS and I would find it hard to conceive. I started taking Vitex about a week ago and stopped taking it 2 days ago because I thought it was making me sick

Is it possible that the Vitex can make a postitive test result? Im so worried that it is too good to be true

Looks pretty darn positive to me! A line is a line is a line.. I really doubt this is a false positive :D.. Congratulations!!

in relation to the vitex ... it is just a vitamen supplement to make sure you are getting sufficient amounts of specific vitamens.

HPT's measure very small amounts of the hormone HCG in your urine. This hormone is only produced in pregnancy ...... so NO.... Vitex will Definately NOT cause a false posative.

The only thing which does cause a false posative is a 'trigger' injection used in ovulation induction and IVF .... and trust me you would know if you had it !!!! :laughing:

False posatives are in fact very very rare .....

Oh Thankyou!! I just am finding it so surreal. I have PCOS and have cysts all over my ovaries, and am now thinking that maybe they are causeing the positive! I dont get to know for real for atleased 3 days ahhhhh!!

Nope, not possible! Like Katiesmum said, the only thing that will give you a false positive is a HCG trigger injection which you obviously didn't have :smiliedance:

PCOS will not cause false posatives either.

As for not knowing your DD, I guess you'll have to have an early scan to get a good idea of your DD. Your bloods should give you some idea I think.

No idea about the Vitex but i'll say one thing my Doctor told me - you can't get false postives - only faslse negatives! How exciting!! :yelclap::yelclap:

Sorry but i know of pleanty of people who have had false positives, and i was one of them :yes:
