Hi there

Some good places to take toddlers are the Museum in the city and Scienceworks in Williamstown (you can get a train there easily). They both have great displays for younger kids with lots of lights, sounds, pictures, buttons, etc - all the things toddlers love!

Hope you have a great time!

I 2nd the museum and scienceworks.
You could take a short boat ride on the Yarra river.
Play "Spot the jellyfish in the river."
I think there is a playground on the north side of the river (Birramung..??? I can't spell it).
Take a ride on one of the city trams.
There may be some things going on at Federation Square.
If it's nice weather there will be buskers out at Southbank, though my DD had too short an attention span for that as a toddler.
