Hi everyone :wave:Just a quick question. My 11 week old son Tyler has started sleeping more in the night (he slept from 8pm till 5 am this morning it's amazing!) but my breasts were quite engorged when it came to the 5am feed as I'm used to feeding him at least twice throughout the night. Will my supply drop if he starts sleeping through and I'm not feeding? It would really suck to be finally able to sleep more but have to get up and express :( Sorry if it seems like a silly question but was just wondering :)

BF is a supply and demand thing I found shen DD started sleeping through I needed to wear a bra to bed with breast pads to soak up the overflow but that only lasts a little while as your body adjusts to his new routine.
I fed DD till 13 months (ish) and had periods of up and down where she had growht spurts and fed heaps then would stop and my boobs would get really full. I'd try not to express too much though (just enough to get comfy) as this will compound the problem.
Good luck with your BF:yelclap:

I agree with Catriona.

Don't get up to express - enjoy your sleep whenever you can get it!!!

Your body will naturally adjust to what the baby needs. Sometimes they eat more, sometimes less, just trust that your body will naturally work out what your baby needs. I know it can be a bit stressful sometimes when we start thinking too much about routines and watching the clock.

Thanks guys for the advice... I need to learn to trust my body more I guess (and I am definitely enjoying the longer sleeps :smiliedance:) It just seems amazing how my body will adjust to what he needs... but I guess it is true, I almost gave up on BF a little while ago as I thought my supply was too low but my little one seems fine now and is putting on lots of weight so I guess all is good! Thanks again :)
