hi all, I have a lovely 11 month old DS. In the last 2 weeks we have got rid of his dummy and this has dramatically improved his night waking so that he is now sleeping thru- for the first time! Yay!! Wish I'd got rid of the dummy earlier. Now the day sleeps have gone off tho!!

He is not able to self settle at all without the dummy and I cannot seem to help him settle either. During the day, the only thing that helps him to settle is to feed him. He is fully BF and will not take a bottle, formula etc. He will only drink some water out of a cup. I am concerned about the feeding to sleep as it means I am feeding him probably 5x a day and I am having trouble dropping feeds as he seems to think feed= sleep. I would like him to self settle and to drop feeds eventually but I will just tackle one step at a time.

I am not keen on CC and I am wondering about Tizzie Hall's approach of laying them down specific numbers of times? Has anyone tried this?
Or should I be more patient with him as he adjusts to life without a dummy and life without 1-2 night feeds?
Any ideas welcome. I am currently a FT mum but I am going back to work in January so i would just like to think about how things will need to pan out.
