Is My Friend Pregnant

Hi there - I am posting on behalf of a friend who doesn't have internet access.

So her and her DH have been trying for a baby and she is now 3 days late for AF and she's NEVER EVER late - not even 1 day.

She did a first response test yesterday, but negative. She has the cramping and nausea. I think she's pregnant - but have some of you lovely ladies had negative results but still been pregnant? Maybe she should test again with a different brand?

What do you think/what are your experiences?

did she use first morning urine?

It could be one of two things

- either she is pregnant and it is not showing up on the POAS tests (sometimes it doesnt show up on these tests ..... )

or

- she is not pregnant and just has a hinky cycle this time around (or a chemical preg) ... sometimes even women with a very very regular cycle can have it interupted evey now and then and it be off by a few days......or the egg fertalises but doesnt implant properly, so you get af a bit late .....


so - yes I would probably buy another test and use it in the morning ....

if she still gets a BFN, and no AF in a few days, I would go to the doc for a BT.

I didn't get a positive POAS or BT result til I was 5 -6wks with DS2.

I have heard of women who don't get positive POAS's until they are 1-2 weeks late too.

I had a negative test result on 29th day of cycle. Felt like period was coming so didn't do another test for another week and a half!!! Then two very dark lines very very quickly. I've heard similar stories numerous times. I would suggest waiting until period is a week late to do another test.
