DD (6mths) has just got her first tooth. My question is when do you start brushing their teeth. she is BF, has 2 FF bottles a week at day care and is on solids. So her teeth are exposed to all sorts of things.

Now..

Not only to protect her first little toothypeg as well as the many more yet to come but to get her used to it..

Make it part of the morning/evening routine and expose them to the feel and sensation from a young age and :fingerscrossed: you wont have any dramas as she gets older..

Yep toddlers will still go through there stages of being scared or not wanting to brush there teeth but the more normal you make it from a young age the less chance of teeth brushing tantrums down the line.

You dont use toothpaste yet though.. Just a baby toothbrush and water is fine..

Also wiping her tooth/gum with a wet flannel helps gets residue off from feeds if you havent yet brought a toothbrush.
