Hi Mums to Premmie Bubs, just thought I'd start another thread. We have gone through the rollercoaster of three premature births. Our last, sadly passed away after 48hours. What wonderful efforts Dr Donovan from RBWH did to save our precious angel. We have been trying for Number 4 for 5 months, we are facing a high risk pregnancy, we know that. What an amazing feeling it would be to actually buy size 00 clothes for our new arrival instead of 00000 or is it going to be another journey of ups and downs in the NICU. Am here for a chat anyway ladies, still awaiting our BFP, it will happen!!
hi Lissylou,
I was born 11 weeks early i was 2 pound 14 ounces I stayed in hospital for 3 months, I seem to have turned out just fine and now I am 9 weeks pregnant. So I say amazing things happen and I wish you all the best. Mum sad i had to wear dolls cloths and that my dads wedding ring could fit over my fist.
All the best.

 Hi Mary, and how wonderful to read that your precious boy is all ok.
26 weeks was so scary, I can imagine the touch and go you went throught at 25weeks. It's so encouraging to read strories like yours, thanks so much for helping to encourage us, we need it. I cant wait!:fingerscrossed:
My little man was born at 5 weeks early. He is an average size for a 5 year old. He weighed 2.8kg and 47cm long. 0000 was the smallest size I bought. He stayed in hospital for 2 weeks because of his size they said he was a very good size for 35 weeks.
Hope all goes well.

Hi all,
My daughter Ally was born at 23 weeks and was 513gms. She was 30cm long. She was in NICU for 5 months on oxygen until 4 days before she came home.
I was carrying twins and lost one at about 8 weeks and that has caused an infection at the back of my placenta which made it start tearing. I was bleeding from 11 weeks and doctors wouldnt let us wait any longer to be induced as our lives were already at risk. I was in labour for 3 days... which was horrible. She couldnt wear any clothing to begin with as nothing fitted her. I bought Sz 000000 but they only started to fit 4 months after she was born.
But everything turned out for the best. She is now 2 1/2 and its doing great. Up to date with development. Still a little small for her age... only in sz 1 clothing.

Hi Tiredmummy a true success story you have with your little girl. It's wonderful to hear the positive outcome from your premmie journey. I do often find myself saying I wonder why my little princess didn't make it and others born before her have. Don't take that the wrong way, I know that every little bub is different and I do believe that things happen for a reason.
Our little one weighed 848grams and she was about the size of a can of coke, so your little one must have been so much smaller than that. Just goes to show you that miracles can happen.

Hi Lissylou
hope all is well! I am new to the whole forum thing! you are so brave and you have proved that your strength can get you through anything! you go girl!
My second son was born at 28 weeks gestation - I basically went into spontaneous labour and had him via emergency ceasar the same day. He was 1.2kg when born and breathing on his own after two days. We spent 8 weeks in hospital while he grew and matured and although it was tough at the time (esp. with a three y.old) I have forgotten all the bad stuff and remain focussed on the good stuff - first smiles, goos and gahs!
remain positive and enjoy every minute!

Hello everyone,
My daughter was born 11 weeks early and only 2 pounds. She didn't need oxygen at all and was out of hospital after 5 weeks, a lot earlier then they first expected. Now she is 5 months and 000 with big chubby cheeks. At the time I didn't realise just how amazing it was that she did so well, but after reading through all the posts I am just so grateful. I guess because she was early and did fine I just presumed all babies born early generally do.
Thankyou everyone for making me realise how strong she is. And for those of you who have lost babies, I am so sorry. It just breaks my heart to hear that.
