dummy

hey everybody

just wanted to know if any one uses a dummy cause my 10 month old does only when he is sleeping but i dont want him to rely on it cause the other day we were out shopping and he was supposed to be sleeping but he chucked the dummy out of the pram and i didnt even notice.. so then the whole way home he was crying cause he needed it to go to sleep.. how do i get rid of the dummy?????

what you could do is just not give it to him anymore and he'll eventually get used to not having it, or if you want him to decide to not want it you can cut off the end of the dummy and give it to him, he won't beable to suck it properly and throw it away, don't give the cut dummy to him without you being there though

sorry - I have no answers for you ... but that IS the reason that I ALWAYS have at least three dummies with me :laughing: I HATE being without one... Jack falls asleep within minutes if he has his dummy (I'll worry about getting rid of it later!!)
