Im doing a biug clean out of my children toys/craft etc...thought I would ask to get some ideas on organising their stuff (they have so much)
What do you do with their toys/craft and where do you store them?
DD is lucky and has a toy room, so all toys live in that room.
Lego, trains, kitchen stuff, craft, little people etc each have their own boxes to be kept in, random toys such as dolls, teddies and bits and pieces are kept in the toy box, puzzles and books on the shelf. Peek a blocks and young babies toys have all been packed away(ready for the next bub).
If you have a bit more time up your sleeves, labeling boxes with pictures of what is supposed to belong in there is also a great way for young kids to learn about keeping things tidy.
When I find the toy room too overloaded with toys I just take some away, store them in a cupboard and rotate them every couple of weeks.
Very side note here, I just noticed in your tickers that your 2 kids have the same b'day just 2 years apart! That is so rare!

Buy those boxes on wheels (very cheap, from bunnings),they are marvelous.
Give away everything they never play with to the op shop or womans refuge.

I have a stand that has 3 draw in it for tyler's craft stuff. Have a book case for her books and a colorful 9bin toy organizer. I put sticker of dora on the sides was cheaper then buying a dora one:laughing: I also use baskets alot in both her room and toy room. Each kind of toy such as cars, phones, dolls, baby bottles so on have there own baskets, Its much easier when tyler is cleaning up she know what toys go's in what baskets

I get a big piece of coloured posterboard and write 'CARS' on it in thick texta, and cut pictures of cars out of magazines and stick them on the paper.
Remember to laminate the poster paper!
Then I sticky-tape it to a box and that's where she knows where to put the cars.

All their arts and crafts are in the garage in tubs and draws.
I also sort their toys into boxes and containers, all their farm animals in one box, leggo in another box, McDonalds Happy Meal etc toys stuff in another box and so on....
I like to be organised and like things having a place.

DS has a corner of the loungeroom with a 7 drawer unit (got it a fortnight ago from Kmart for $70) and that has all his toys in it with 2 smallish boxes for the bigger toys. His craft stuff is in one of those plastic storage boxes with wheels on the bottom and I keep it in the hall cupboard.
Im a bit short of space too at the moment till i move into my house where dd will have a toy room. In the meantime dd has a toy storage with pullout tubs. I put as much as I can in there, games get stacked, etc. Still seems to get messy though.

My Daughters toys are all in big square stackable tubs,,bright coulured and different colours for different items,,seems to work, i got them from Big W for about $7 each i think...
My son has baskets for his, plastic type ones (from Flash Harrys/reject shop ) and he has different cars in different baskets and he puts them on a bookshelf in his own chaotic/obsessive way! He likes his things his way,in saying that he is extremely tidy! he also has a wooden toybox for big stuff!
Bubby has wicker baskets, although she only has a small collection at the moment!
I have the Ikea trofast frames, and I love them. My DS is nearly 5 and he knows what toys go in what coloured box.
We have them split into
Dinosaurs and animals the largest box lol
Trains
People
Things that go
Duplo/lego
Meccano
and mixed toys.
Obviously it depends on your child, but it was really easy to customise to suit.
It works pretty well, even our DD 2 gets the idea and picks up.
