The bf is lazy as hell, but being an apprentice, also poor as hell...and buying lunch each day is starting to eat into money he really needs.

Since he's not going to get off his behind and make his own lunch, I'm quite happy to do it for him... I just don't know what to actually pack.

I'll have to make sure he has some sort of cooler bag or something (any suggestions on those btw?), but what can I pack him for lunch?

What sandwich/roll fillings will last until lunchtime? Is there anything I can make him, other than sandwiches, that will go down nicely and last in a cooler bag (with an ice-brick or something) till lunch?

Any help would be much appreciated! :D

My Bf takes lil packs of chips, or muesli bars... but the little poop has a super fast matobolism... damn him...

so maybe fruit? uhhhmmm yogurt?

u could put left over meats on his sandwich? or ham? or turkey, or curried/mashed egg, the normal spreads...

or u could get breadrolls and ham and salad. that could fill him up?

Egg Salad sandwiches

Chicken schnitzel and salad or in a sandwich

Rissoles in sandwich

Wraps - with salad and meat

chicken and salad

ham and salad

hmm will have to think of more....at least they are healthy hehe...

Quiche. I use to make a huge quiche for dinner, then leave some aside for DF's lunch the next day.

Things such as Tuna, give him some bread wrapped up, and a knife...make his own tuna sandwiches...wont go soggy cos he doesnt have to make it til he's ready to eat it...

For DF, quite often I would cut up the sandwich stuff, and put it in containers, and send it with bread, so he put it together...saves the bread from going soggy.

Or even use paper towel to dry out some of the liquid from the tomato. When making a sandwich, make sure the tomato isnt touching the bread, so its in between the ham and cheese for example and that helps prolong the life of the bread too.

Wraps....carrot, lettuce, cheese, ham....

Any left over dinner meals that taste good cold too, like vegie bake is yummy cold..and so is chicken, fish etc...

Even a piece of fish and a salad...

Anything can become a great lunch....

Sassy, don't be his slave!! Teach him how to make them - just supervise then he will know how to do it for himself. Sounds like his mum has always done everything for him too.

Apprentice - big appetite - filling sandwiches on thick grainy bread with protein fillings, egg, chicken etc and some salad vegies if he will eat them.

Thanks guys!

lol LCM - if he ever starts to EXPECT it, or DEMAND it, I'll tell him to get stuffed. At this stage though, I'm quite happy to do absolutely everything for him. lol. I don't do any housework here anyway... despite me trying, his mother doesn't let me and always goes, "no it's okay, I'll do it *smile*" so I kinda have nothing to do. :p

It'll make me happy to make him lunch. :)
