Hi everyone,
I noticed it was a bit quiet in here so thought I'd post this link to an English IVF clinic site. It's the story of one woman's anonymous egg donation journey.
Bear in mind that the legalities are slightly different in Australia. The author mentions that the eggs are hers until the embryos are transferred...I might be wrong, but I think in Australia once they are fertilised by the recipient's sperm, they legally become the recipient's embryos.
Also, known (or open) donation is becoming increasingly popular, so she might have had a very different experience had she done a known donation in Australia.
Anyway, I hope some of you are interested to read her story and what motivated her to do it. I would be keen to read your thoughts/comments about it.
