how to soothe baby when sick?

My 3month old DD has a virus and a middle ear infection... grrrrrrrr
how do i help her be comfortable, i have given panadol and there doesnt sem to be any relief, what else would help her?
i feel so helpless.

The panadol should take effect eventually and she should be more comfortable. You're doing the right things !

Cuddling until she settles is all I would think of - they always want to be close to Mum when they're sick, IME.

I hope she's on the mend tomorrow and you may both be able to get more sleep.:fingerscrossed:

shes just nodded off to sleep as you said, she just needed cuddles.
throws our routine out, but its worth her being happy.
just wish there was an easier way!

do you think if i warmed up a towel and put it near her ear when shes trying to sleep it would help? she seems to just hit and grab her ear =[

This may be really silly question... but has she seen a gp?

The only reason i ask is because sometimes they can give you some sort of ear medication...

Other than that you are doing the right things.

If she starts to become listless then take her straight to a hospital, but besides that it should all clear up!
