I have recently been looking into Near Death experiences and how other peoples information from these events can empower you.

My grandma says that when she was giving birth to my mum, she had one.

That is what first interested me about finding out more.

A great website with stories from various people and near death info is very interesting http://www.near-death.com/

Do you think this is at all possible? Who really knows. But some of the stories on this site whether fiction or non fiction is interesting none the less.:)

Ive had a two near death experiences.

First one i was 9 years olds, it was a day or so before my 10th birthday, we were at the Target in the states, and my mum had just bought me my favourite book!! (I looooved The Babysitters CLub) anyway i was sort opf reading that and following her out of the store when a gunman came out, who had been holding up the store, saw me (i was oblivious, i was totally in to my book) and grabbed me, i screamed, and was holding me and ****, but then a lady grabbed a trolley and quickly shoved it into him (he didnt have the gun to me or anything just had me by my neck) and it loosened his grip so i ****bolted and luckily that caused enough distraction for the security men to get him..

ALl i got was a shopping spree, BUt i was so ****ing scared,m and since then i shudder going into a Target..even here in australia

MY second one was i was driving, and naughty me smoking in my mums car, i put the butt out the window (Yea kill me..) and it blew back in and i was looking for it, eyes off the road, nearly ran off it, went to striaghten myself up, lost control... and it was scary because i was surrounded by BIG Semi trucks and luckily i was able to stop the car without hitting anyone else, or anyone hitting me and the truck behind me managed to stop a metre away from the car.. and what really made me blessed..a Preist, who was driving a bit back who saw it, came to see if i was ok. It was so scary, i was screaming and my whole life flashed before me and i was thinking this is it, this is it.. but luckily it wasnt. So thank you for whoever was watching over me or praying for me. REALLY REALLY appreciate it...

(btw i dont smoke in cars now, NO WAY)

my parents used to run a nursing home in the UK. Death was a regular part of the fabric because we had many terminally ill or elderly patients that would spend their last few months with us. In my late teens and early 20's i worked there as a nursing auxiliary. Many times we had patients who, when they were in the last few days of life, would be talking to some invisible being in the room (usually the top corner of the room opposite the bed) telling whatever it was to go away because they were not ready to go yet.

As many of them were on diamorphine for pain relief in the last few days, we put it down to hallucinations etc but I always wondered if something was there, like on Touched by an Angel.

We knew when the end was near as did their relatives and they all seemed ready to go when they did.

I know its not "near death" in the traditional sense but it made me look at death in a completely different way.

Google - God on the Brain - if a paticular part of the brain is stimulated this sensation can be created.

I definitely think it is possible to have a near death experience.
