Hello Nowra ladies

My Dh is going to be working in North Nowra for a couple of months and we are looking at putting our son into childcare 1 day a week in the area. So we are looking for feedback about childcare in the area, the good the bad and the ugly of it all
At this stage we are looking at Platypus Kinda in Bomaderry, North Nowra Preschool in North Nowra, Kookaburra Preschool in Bomaderry and Jumbunna Childrens Centre in Nowra (near the hospital)

DH is actually Nowra born and bred and we have family in the area however sometimes (as happens in all families) our expectations are different to theirs when it comes to care and none of them have used childcare in the northern Nowra suburbs. So because of DH we have a good idea of the best, better and poor suburbs already...

Thanking you all in advance :D

Hi,
I'm in Nth Nowra. My 3 1/2 yr old goes to Nth Nowra Kindy. We LOVE it. The teachers are wonderful and they're more than happy for you to come and have a look/talk with them. They take 2-5 yr olds and have 29 spots. I think it's one of the only ones in town though that you have to take your own food.

There is also a bigger one on Pitt St in Nth Nowra but that has a lot more children and they take younger ones too.

My friend takes her son to one in Bomaderry on Lyndhurst st (kookaburra?) and she swears by it and drives from nth nowra to take him there.

Good luck and hope you enjoy your move.
