Hi,

Just wondering if anyone has any ideas for my Mum for her sixtieth. I wanted to get her something special as she is great to us! And she has everything!!! Was thinking about an "experience gift" - but everything was a bit adventurous for her eg sky diving and didn't just want to get her a facial.
She is into crafty things and patchwork.

Really struggling!!

Thanks

My MIl is 60 today we gave her a party and made her a birthday cake ( scrabble), then made a clock out of scrapbooking with a photo of her in it and I made her a wooden photo album that she can put photos in of her party to remember it. I would love to give her a photo of the kids too but might make that for christmas.

We gave MIL for her 60th, some jewellry (to match some FIL was giving her) and also gave her a decorated box with 60 quotes - inspirational about birthdays, being a mother, grandmother etc, it was fun to pick them, print them out on pretty paper and she adored it!!

My friend made a scrapbook album for her mum's 60th - lots of photos and embellishments, a lovely personal gift.

For my dad's 70th, he had a party. I took heaps of photos' and then did them up with scrapbooking. I'd never done much of it before, but it turned out okay. Also I know him and my mum thought it was very special that I went to so much effort.

Another idea is a family portrait - this may cost quite a bit of money. For my parents 40th wedding anniversary we go the whole family - them being the grandparents, all us kids, and all the grandchildren. There were 17 people in total.

We shared the cost of the portrait - was done on canvas, between each of us kids.
