larger than normal adenoids and tonsils

Hiya

dd2 is almost 1 now as last pead visit he noticed she had larger than normal tonsils and adenoids.. she breathes through her mouth most of the time we noticed, but the pead seemed to think that unlessed she snored alot that we prob shouldn't be too worried.

Anyone else had this issue at all?

Our Ds is 4 and he has large tonsils and adenoids and we are get them removed next month due to terrible snoring and breathing. our Gp recommend we see a specialist

*raises hand* I had huge tonsils and adenoids when I was a kid. Got them both removed the day after my 14th birthday (more so because I suffered recurrent tonsilitis) and it was great.

As a kid I had to chew with my mouth open because I couldn't breathe through my nose properly :o It sucked. I did snore a lot too.

After I had them removed I experienced laughing a drink out through your nose for the first time :eek: It was coke so not a pleasant experience :laughing:
