Oh no!! I've totally had my lil girls name picked out since I was a kid!! (Claudia..lol yes after the supermodel) But then the other day I seen this really posh lady call her daughter over to her and her name was Isabella, i love that name!....I mentioned the name to my hubby and now he thinks he likes it more then Claudia..so now we can't decide between the two!!!! (I keep going back to Claudia..but hes starting to like Isabella more and more)

The problem I sorta have with the name Isabella...is the fact that we had a pure pommerian puppy whos name was Bella....lol is that too similar???!!! (we don't have bella anymore though)

lol which one in your opinion???

Claudia or
Isabella

Isabella is a beautiful name, as are its diminuitives like Isa, Bella, Ella etc, but I think its becoming far too common IMO, so I would go with the name Claudia  it suits a baby, little girl and a woman!!

thats kinda what i was thinking...I don't want a 'phase' name...like Eva/Ava or Ethan for boys (still nice names though:thumbsup: )

Claudia..Isabella is geting more and more common...nothing wrong with that but I like names that aren't in the top 10-100!!

My mum's name is Eva, so AVA/EVA were out for us, although they are lovely names too. I guess that is how I feel about names like Mikayla/Maddison or Jordan/Caleb etc (No offence to those who have children with those names), they are quite popular at the time, and become too common. I remember in highschool in my English class we had 5 kylies, so I didn't want my DD to have one of the top 10 girls names, although many of them are lovely!!

I've always loved Claudia - nothing to do with the supermodel. Unfortunately DH didn't go for it so we're not using it but I really like it!

Isabella is very popular these days (read "common") ;). Lovely name.. just overused I think.

Oh goodness thats a hard one... hmm i think i'm leaning more towards Claudia. I've seen your signature on posts and i always think "Claudia, what a beautiful name" its not common, but yet its not cruel, or totally weird like other uncommon names (e.g. Apple)

I keep getting told that i'm gunna change my mind about names a million times, but once my little boy/girl is born, i'll know which name to use:)

Good luck and dont worry about it too much both names are beautiful and you will know when ur little girl comes into the world which name will be perfect for her :hugs:

Yep i agree with the other girls! Definately Claudia!

I used to love the name Isabella but although i still do i dont like it as much as before just coz its so popular now!

Claudia sounds so posh and sophisticated yet cool  I always think how much i love it when i see your signature!

Do you have a middle name picked yet?

:smiliedance: yay Posh and sophisticated!! totally what I was after!! lol luv u Cinta!!! heheh

umm as for middle name...its kinda boring...but i'm just following tradition:rolleyes: my mums middle name is Ann, mine is Anne..so now mum wants me to have Ann again for Claudia

So Claudia Ann L....

I can't really think of anything better...and it dosant sound too bad...if you have any more thoughts...pass em my way!!

Claudia Ann goes well! I think its great that you're including a family name as the middle name. We plan to do that with all of our kids. And if its what your Mum wants then i think it would make her sooo happy!

But remember, it has to be what you and your hubby want so make sure you love the name and arent just calling her that because its traditional.

Here's a few suggestions anyway...

Claudia Elizabeth
Claudia Rose
Claudia Grace

Sorry i cant think at the moment, i will get back to ya!

Why don't you keep an open mind about both and make your mind up when you see what your baby girl looks like. One name may suit her more than the other - or neither! When our 1st child was born we had a short list of 6 names. We took one look at him and ruled out at least 4 of them. You may need to think of some other classy sophisticated names. ???Chloe, Madeleine, Aerin (as in Estee Lauder's grandaughter) etc. Maybe some of the famous screen sirens - Grace (Kelly), Lauren (Bacall). Good luck. Agreeing on a name is always hard.:)

Well they're both nice names so I don't know - sorry not much help am I. I do know how you feel though we had Charlotte picked from the beginning but slowly Ava became more & more appealing to both of us & we didn't know what to pick. I am so glad we went with Charlotte though.

Good Luck

I like both but Isabella, Ella etc are very common now. But I'd stop thinking about it, have both of them in mind. You'll probably know as soon as you see her.

I don't know anyone with the name Claudia, it's not very common at all, but everyone knows it and knows how to spell it. The closest I've come to knowing someone with that name is a girl I went to school with. Her name was Claudette. I used to think it sounded very French. ;)

Claudia.

Just thinking that if you named her Isabella and she finds out when she's older you had a dog named Bella she may not be too happy.

"Oh who were you named after dear" "A dog my parents used to have before I was born"

Nup not right.

I adore Claudia Isabel together (not Isabella)

I prefer the Isabel spelling as it is less froo-froo than Isabelle/Isabella.
