Okay, who can help me find a floating ring or something for my 11 kg developmentally delayed child. On land she can't quite sit up, but can hold her head up and has average trunk control. She loves the water and being able to move freely, and LOVES splashing!!!
What I need is like a zoggs ring but bigger
Anyone got any experience or can recommend something???

have you tried calling clarks rubber
they have a big supply of pool floating devices and might be able to order something in for you

I'm pretty sure you can get thos swim rings with the seat in them for children up to about 13 kilos.
We just hold ds in the water, or put him in shallow water sitting up.
Do you think a life jacket would be good for her? I'm thinking of trying something like that with ds this summer because he loves the water & would love the free feeling I think.

Would one of the aqua running water belts help? It's dense foam and fits around the middle and the idea is to keep you upright in the water..they have a belt that clicks together and would go from under the armpits to about hip level. $27-$50 at that big sports store.

Hey
I'm not a mum to a child with special needs, but I am a physio who works with children with disabilities. We get some of our pool equipment from Peppertown. I'm not sure if I can post the website - so I will try. If it doesn't work, pm me and I will get you the details.

Hope that may help.
