It's my DD's 9th Birthday next Sunday and we thought we would have a cryptic present hunt ending in the garage where a new bike awaits her.
So, any brainy creative people with some time to spare, out there can you help me come up with cryptic words or puzzles to get to each of the following places/objects where she will find the next clue to solve...

From her bedroom to

The Linen cupboard (towels and sheets contained within)

The computer where she has to open a file for the next clue/puzzle

The microwave in kitchen

Foxtel box in lounge

The babies cradle in my bedroom

The sewing machine in arts'n'craft room

The letterbox

The garage (no cars stored within just bikes and fishing stuff)

I'll have a go LOL ;) great idea by the way!! I've added my suggestions in red

From her bedroom to

The Linen cupboard (towels and sheets contained within)

The computer where she has to open a file for the next clue/puzzle (for this one maybe get a photo or picture of a PART of the computer, say the keyboard up really close so she has to work out what the picture is of?? )

The microwave in kitchen (a quick snack is cooking but one takes too long, quickly quickly, your next clue awaits!)

Foxtel box in lounge (with so many to choose from who could ever be bored! dont sit too close though)

The babies cradle in my bedroom (shh be quiet and tip toe past, the baby is sleeping, finally at last)

The sewing machine in arts'n'craft room (an old saying - "a stitch in time saves nine")

The letterbox (not so popular now, an old fashioned way of keeping in touch with family and friends)

The garage (no cars stored within just bikes and fishing stuff) (sinkers, lures, poles and nets nothing much in here to interest you I bet!?)

Sheets and towels contained within, this is where we're going to begin!

(I know its easy but she is only 9, and it is the first clue - can't put her off ).

Will keep thinking others for you. It sounds like so much fun!!!

Thankyou :hugs:
DD has 8 little friends staying over the Sat night and they are all pretty smart so don't want to make it too easy. DD adores things like this and I can get brekky ready whilst they "hunt" down her gifts.:D

Words are my thing, so I've stuck to that ... but I LOVE other people's ideas with photos and the like!

...
The Linen cupboard (towels and sheets contained within) Dry and warm you'll always be, if you just think to look inside of me ..

The computer where she has to open a file for the next clue/puzzle Help you think, help you draw, but this time I just might help you score ..

The microwave in kitchen Warm, warm, warmer? Or is this clue too hot?

Foxtel box in lounge. I bring the world inside, I bring a million friends, but is this where your journey ends?

The babies cradle in my bedroom. Mama's right, do you hear? Mama's always close by my dear!

The sewing machine in arts'n'craft room. Zip, zap, zoom, I love to make new presents for you ...

The letterbox. Bills, bills, bills, but this week more fun. Will there be surprise for daughter number one?

The garage (no cars stored within just bikes and fishing stuff) Not outside, not in, but what's within? Perhaps ***** might be some help ... (insert name of something she might remember being stored there?)

What huge amounts of fun ... she's a lucky girl!

The sewing machine in arts'n'craft room

Buttons and patches
Needles and pins
Fast and electric

This one is probably way to easy as well. :o

Wow, you mummies are the bestest with ideas, thankyou sooo much :hugs:
Might have to do several clues for each place/thing as they are too cool :D

I have these good ideas but carrying them through is often hard as I'm just time poor continually not to mention an old adled brain, and I appreciate your input and help so much.

For one of the clues maybe you can cut out the letters to make the word from something and put the letters in an envelope, when she opens it she has to unjumble the letters to make the word!

Belated but much sincere THANKS :hugs: for all your wonderful cryptics. Took the girls about 35 mins to work them all out, with some help from me occassionally, but they thought it heaps of fun and sad when it came to an end. You ladies Rock
