I reall need some advice on purchasing a car seat. this is first bub and we have a fairly small car.
Any advice, experiences or problems encountered, whats good, what fits, what's quality and value, convertible or capsule etc etc and anything else you can think of would be a great help.

Thanks in advance

i have a two door car & found the best car seat was a 0-4years turn-a-tot - it makes it so much easier that i can turn the seat towards me to get my baby out.

I have a babylove birth to 18kg car seat that fits in our small car even in reverse position, althou my seat did have to be forward more than i was used to.

I just bought a Safe 'n' Sound Compact Deluxe today for $300 at Sumner Park ..

We have a Mazda 121 .. tiny bubble car a 93 model !

ITS BRILLIANT!!!! fits perfect .. everything else was too big!

Highly recommend for small car and Safe 'n' Sound are one of the best!

It is 0 - 18 kg manual retractor comes with Shade and a mat!

We have a 2 door car and found that even the smallest safe and sound seat and the turn a tot would not fit because the passenger seat has to be moved fully back once it has been moved forward to get in the back and when the baby seat was in reverse position you could not get the passenger seat all the way back. We ended up with an Aunger car seat and I think it is make by Babylove but under this name, have not had any problems with this seat. We found that we just had to go to different shops and try them in the car, I don't think we encoutered any problems with staff saying no.
Hope this makes sense for you.

Agreed that Safe 'n' Sound is the one, Our Angel is Pink! It fits perfectly to our small VW Golf. And Thomas loves it too!

Recently we went for a holiday, and the hired car we've got has a different baby car brand, and Thomas didn't like it. I think the padding isnt as soft as the Safe 'n' Sound one, and the comfy design is fits for the lil kings/queens!

Bear in mind tho Nick47, there isnt much room at the front seat, but its fit for me, not for my tall husband tho! :D
