Hello:wave:
I had a scare over the weekend with bleeding and went for a scan yesterday. I am 7.5 weeks. Bub was fine with heartbeat and all, but they found a "subchorionic haematoma" just above the placenta which causes the bleeding.

I only bled (red) for about 12 hours then it turned brown, and as of yesterday - nothing. I never had any pain either.

My Doctor seems not to be worried about it but I can't help worry! Does anyone have this and what are your positive and negative stories, please.

Thank you for your help!

i had one with dd3, i was 11 1/2 weeks when all of a sudden i had really bad cramping, then about half an hour later i had blood gush out and soak me almost to my knees... i thought i'd lost the baby for sure, i went for a scan only to see her kicking back like nothing had happened, but that bleed was bigger then her, it was right above her too...

i was told that i was going to lose her, and to come back in a few days... my hcg levels dropped from over 100,000 to just over 30,000... the dr was booking me for a d&c, as i hadnt had any other bleeding, but decided to see if he could find a heart beat.. and it was there loud and clear:yelclap:

after that first bleed, i had spotting a few times through the rest of the pg, but the hematoma was absorbed back by 28 weeks...

anyway, dd3 was born perfect, i was induced just after the due date.. and yeah perfect... except know the tantrums have started:D

good luck, its not always bad news;)

Cassie -when was your clot diagnosed - in early or later pregnancy? Did you have regular scans to check on it? Did it just "go away?"

it was diagnosed around 11 weeks. i didnt have any other scans to check on it, after that i didnt have anymore blood, i had a scan at 18 weeks and it had gone cause my placenta had moved out of the way.

Thank you for all of your responses. I am just praying it goes away! With all of your success stories, I have a lot more hope that it will.

I had 1 with my last but I didn't bleed. The sonographer and gp told me I could lose the baby and I went back FOR U/S and the bleed was a little smaller. My gp said nothing would happen but I would have a scar on my uterus wall. My daughter is gorgeous
