Need help with my 7mth old

My had trouble with dd when she was younger, where I had to rock her to sleep. I fixed the problem for a while with soothing techniques while she was n her cot, and it got to the point where I could just put her in there and she would go off to sleep. But for the last month Ive had to go back to rocking her as now when I put her in there she crawls around like a mad man, and now she can stand she always standing up. She has been waking in the middle of the night and when you go in there she is standing up crying.

So what can you do to get a baby to go to sleep by themselves when they can stand up and crawl around???

Please I need help by back is so bad now from rocking a 9kg baby to sleep, and I cant imagine how bad its going to be when she gets bigger.

i have the same problem with my dd who is nearly 9 months. i have always had to rock her to sleep at night and sometimes during the day. it always seems like a bg argument to go to sleep and she fights it constantly. during the day i usually just let her play til she drops but at night i have to rock (unless iwant my bedtime to be well after midnight) she has also been waking in the middle of the night crying. sometimes she will go back if she hasn't seen me when i check on her but other times i get her a bottle and she drinks and we rock.

i have tried other methods to get her to sleep and she just won't do it and i hate hearing her cry and cry.

i was given a rocking reclining chair when she was 2 months old and wouldn't sleep for more than an hour at a time - even at night. it is the best thing and means i can be comfy while i rock her and if i happen to fall asleep while rocking its comfy enough to sleep on for a few hours.

my 8.5 month old is a crawling in the cot also standin up.... monkey... i have fixed the problem at night with a grobag works wonders as he cant stand up in it. i had no troubles during the day until this week, not interested in his 2 days sleeps. i get an hour out of him if im lucky after a fight..... confused...

My 7.5 month old has decided not to have any more than 2 x1 hr sleeps a day. He is soooo over tired. His wake times never seem to last longer than 2.15 hrs.

I don't know what to do anymore either. I am a CC....he settles fine....just doesn't sleep longer than the hr.

He sleeps fine at night. 6.30pm-6am.

I don't know how to get him to sleep more or longer in the day.

I'm wondering if it's teething too. He is very tired....he is constantly rubbing his eyes and yawning.

Does teething do this?

I'm not liking a grumpy baby in the afternoon/evenings when he doesn't want anymore sleep but is way overtired.

hi,

i had the same problem with my 8.5 month old son zane. i fixed it at night by sleeping him in a grobag, cant stand up in it. can still move about by doesnt wake himself anymore!! geat thing. i dont sleep him in it during the day cause it doesnt matter how short/long he sleeps. :fingerscrossed:
