Just need some advice. So stuck between the two options.

Should I order cupcakes from a professional cupcake store, they will cost around $4.00 each.
I have around 50 people coming to my party, might be more, depending on the night...

So, calculate that= $200
I will have to go to the store which is 40 minutes (including traffic) out of the way from the venue, I'll have to pay extra for the boxes that they come in, etc. I don't want to pay extra for a courier...

or

Should I just bake the cupcakes myself- I'm not gunna lie, I am pretty good at it. *Shameless bragging*
I can get all of the ingredients/decorations for less then $50.
May need to spend a bit more money on cupcake tins with built in lids. BUT, It will not at all be anywhere near $200.
It will take me around three hours to bake + decorate the night before.

I can transport them myself, get them to the venue. RAH rah.

Pwease, advice... Tips, organizational skills- gimmme?
:hugs:

Is the saved time and effort worth $150? I always look at it in those terms: would I give someone $150 just to deal with it all for me so I can get on with better things?

That's what I'm trying to decide...

I don't find baking cupcakes nor decorating, stressful, only therapeutic, so it may help calm me down before the big day. Geez, I sound like I'm getting married.:p

No cupcakes! I think since it is your party, people should bring you cupcakes!

Your cakes are gorgeous and delicious. There will be no complaints from this guest about them at all :D If you find the process enjoyable, then go for gold, kid  How far in advance do the orders have to be in?

As much as I love my friends- and as much as they've offered to take on board a lot of the party planning, I am the type who feels like something will go wrong if I put it all in someone else's hands.
As crappy as that sounds.

I read the website and I think they said within 72 hours, so I'd have to contact them before tomorrow. lol (That's if I can count).

I have some proper piping bags that I'd use to ice them, one that would make them look fancier then what I usually do.

Ash i reckon you make them yourself, that way you get what you want at a cheaper price and don't have to drive 40mins out of your way to pick them up. And as you say you find it relaxing so i think you have your answer hun.
