If he has reflux you will need to have it verified by a doctor and he'll have to start on some medication. It's a very painful condition and is best treated with a medication called Losec, which is a type of drug called a proton pump inhibitor and works to neutralise stomach acid. It shouldn't go untreated - it can really get worse and worse and can interfere hugely with breastfeeding as I found out to my sorrow. Poppy has it and after two days on this medication is back to her old self again. Amazing!

He screams after every feed, vomits a lot. Hates lying down. Gets the hiccups, which sound and look quite painful. The vomit feels hot when it comes out.
I am going to take him to the drs tomorrow, i cant put him through another day of this.

Keep bubs upright after feeding for at least 20mins.
Also make sure no clothing or nappies are too tight around his tummy
When changing nappies try to do so before a feed & use a towel to prop him so he is elevated while you do so & dont lift his legs directly up just roll him side to side.
With feeding try to get him to just feed mostly from one breast this way he is mostly getting hindmilk which is heavier because the foremilk is lighter & more sugary which tends to cause pain. It can also help to express off some foremilk before he feeds.
Try using the football hold to keep him more upright & comfortable.
Look at your diet as it may be something like dairy which is the usual culprit in regards to reflux as this can be whats causing the issue.
Also try to stop him snacking which i know is usually the 'bad' thing to say in regards to letting bubs feed as much as possible but in regards to reflux this goes out the window. Try to get him to feed every 3-4hrs because this means he isnt overfilling his tummy which is what refluxers do because they snack so much to help with the pain.
Invest in a dummy if he will take one again a 'bad' thing with bf but again reflux throws it all out the window. A dummy will cause him to produce more saliva when he sucks which helps alleviate the pain in his throat.
Ummmm sorry brain just died ! Check out the RISA website as they have great info & advice ! Hope that helps !
