There are home pregnancy tests that claim to give accurate results a couple of days before the expected period.
I tested a few days (3 or four) after my expected period and got a very definite positive.
Best of luck with the result :fingerscrossed:

Hey there. I used an early detection test (up to 4 days earlier) and Still didn't get a positive for 1 week after my expected period. I felt like I was definatelt pregnant but the tests just kept saying neg...until that week. Good luck :fingerscrossed:

Yeah I just knew with both of mine.. just that little feeling! Very exciting. When I asked my doctor about the early tests, he said they work on hgc hormone most people only start showing a + about 2 days after expected period, and they only work early for some. Don't keep buying em though beccause they are so expensive... just remember after you miss your p the hgc gets heaps stronger evry 2 days, so if you get a neg, wait a few days. Easy to say I know, I think I went through about 10 of them...per week! let us know when you find out.

I got a positive around 3-4 days before af was due, but the line was feint - then I got a blood test to confirm. The pos+ line was much darker on the day my period would have been due

There are tests that can detect pregnancy I think it was 7-10 days after implantation...?
Whatever they were I did them and got + 3 times!
But it was not meant to be and we lost our baby.
Second time I used different tests and I got a positive a few days before AF was due, but once again we lost that baby too at 10 weeks.
3rd time lucky I tested the day before AF was due, I just knew I was pregnant and got a big + and was confirmed by bloods.
9.5 months later Kailah was born!! (she's my avatar!!!!:yelclap: )

I would give it a few more days and then do a test, if neg then wait a couple more days to retest. Hormone levels double every 48hrs.:fingerscrossed: for you!

just a quick update, have done another test, negative. but that was about 12 past possible conception.
now AF is overdue. original cycle was 29 days. last month (march-april)was 31 days. (get you calculators out gals) if i was back to 29 days from last last month, was due thursday. if 29 days from last month, was due sat. if 31 days from last month, due today....
going to test on friday. all other symptoms have gone, apart from tiredness. keep getting crampy, but no AF. dh thinks im not (seems to reckon he will just 'know') and that i could be 'wishing myself pregnant...
AARRGGHHHHHH :banghead:
someone tellme whats happening!!
i even asked my magic eight ball... Ask Again Later

oh how i wish i could help you. Sorry.:hugs: Hopefully you will know more by the end of the week. Try not to stress too much, if your not pg then it may be the stress and worrying and being anxious to know that your pg that may be making you late. I know I've been where you are now, and i think the waiting is the worst and sometimes mine were a bit late and I think it was because I was thinking about it so much.... who knows.
:fingerscrossed: for you that friday comes...no AF...and a BFP!!!! That would be grreat! But in the meantime just take it as it comes...and take it EASY!!!
