I have just been diagnosed with PUPPPS and was wondering if anyone else has experienced this and found anything to help with the itching?.
I can't remember what PUPPPS (or PEP as it's sometimes called) stands for, but it's a harmless rash that can occur, usually during first time pregnancies. There is no risk to the baby or myself, but it is the most awful thing because it itches like mad constantly and the only cure is to have the baby:mad: . It commonly starts in stretch marks and looks a bit like measles, although it feels like chicken pox.
I've tried calamine lotion, Vitamin E cream, paw paw cream, QV baths and just about everything else you can think of. Sometimes I get relief for a short while, but the itching just comes straight back and it's driving me insane. Sleeping is impossible so I'm exhausted on top of itchy :banghead:
I've even tried ice packs which do numb the area slightly - but I'm trying to limit these as I have a breech baby and it's definitely NOT going to turn itself around if I'm putting ice where it's head is meant to be :D
I've found a couple of sites on the internet that recommend dandelion root tea and flaxseed oil, so I'm going to try these and see if it works.
If anyone has any other suggestions, I would LOVE to hear them please!
