hello ladies! anyone heard of this? this is an assistance of up to $2000 for families who are caring for a child/children with disability under 18 years of age. to those of you who had been granted with this, how long did you wait before knowing the outcome of the application? also, can you give me some ideas on what sort of things, equipment for your child with disability or for your family that you wrote/listed on your application that they funded? I do already have listed some and I know it depends upon the needs of the child, I just want to have some idea or input as I might miss something important.
Anyone of you who listed a certain service (like Hanen Program) and they funded it??? We're eligible and just asking for some opinion to those who were already granted or availed of this funding. This would really help us heaps.
Anyone???

Apparantly it only takes a month to get the money, I am currently applying for it, Yes it's thru DADHC. We are lokking for a special bed as she is out growing her cot but still needs the sides, also a good vacuum cleaner as she rolls everywhere, U can get pretty much anything that will improve family life, air conditioner, washing machine even fund a family trip to the zoo. Think it's to pay for those extra things u can't afford when your paying so much money out for meds and tubes!!!

thanks Kiwibird27! I'm actually faxing the application forms today. my son is a visual learner so we're basically asking for this Boardmaker software which I will be able to print a lot of pictures for him to use. So is it also okay if I will include in my list the things that we will be needing in printing these pictures out (e.g. ink, laminating sheets, velcro and copy paper etc.)??
We will also ask for a Linoleum to cover the entire lounge as the unit we're renting is old and the carpet isn't really that clean eventhough we already had it serviced. And the carpet isn't laying flat anymore, making DS2 tripped over a lot of times...one time he even hit his head hard on the wall  The owner of the unit (he's the owner of the building as well) allowed us to have it covered by linoleum.
Did you maximize the $2000?
