The Billings Method

Hello,

I am hoping to concieve in late June and have been using the Billings method to track my ovulation. I find it easy to recognize my mucus but just have a question regarding the peak day as we are going to try for a boy.

I originally thought that the peak was the last day of the stretchy mucus (that looks like egg white) but after re-reading the Billings book I think I am wrong. Is it really the last day of the 1 or 2 days after the stretching that has a slippery, lubricative sensation?:confused:

If any one could help me out with this dilemma I would be so grateful as only a few more months to go.

MMMMM I am interested in hearing some more of this method, we will be ttc end of the year and would love a boy.

have you had a look on the fertility friend website? that goes into detail about the different types of mucus you can get and when to expect it...i used that site/charting for both of my pregnancies....whenever i saw the eggwhite i owuld just go for it!!

Olivia&BellasMummy if you want a boy I would suggest to get a copy of Choosing the Sex of your Baby, the one that is co written by Shettles. I got a copy of it the other day from Dymocks, it is only about $23. I also have a copy of the Billings Method and it is helpful but I think you will find the Shettles book will answer all of your questions. (We are trying for a boy also).

I also have a .pdf document that someone on this board sent me (sorry whoever you are I forgot your name!) which goes through gender selection, if you would like a copy of it email/pm me and I can send it on.

There are also topics on this forum about it, serch for gender selection or similar terms. (I dont want to overrun this topic with gender selection - sorry!)
