Should I be this big already?????

Im sure im stressing about nothing but Im HUGE and Im only 6wks today!!!
This is my 3rd preg (though 2nd ended at 10.5wks) - I was told that you can show more and earlier with each pregnancy but this is crazy Im 6wks and i look like I have a basketball up my top! There is no way anyone who sees me cant tell, so much for keeping it quiet.
I go for an u/s tomorrow as Dr wants to check its measurements due to probs in last preg etc so i guess i will find out then if everythings ok but i am a little worried.
Does anyone feel comfotable showing there 6-8 bump photos so I can compare??

I wouldn't worry about it, i also showed really early with this pregnancy (sorry though i took no photos) according to dr's this is my fifth pregnancy having lost three b4.

Alot of it could just be bloating, i know that somedays i was massive yet others it seemed to go down. :yes:

every one is different. I'd definately be getting quantatie HCG tests done, and have a few ultrasounds booked.

wow! yeah I had a few days early on when I looked like that and I was really embarassed about it because the uterus is only little at that stage. But it was just bloating and settled down soon after, I'm almost 17 weeks and only now starting to get back up to that size....weird hey:confused:

wow you sure theres not two in there :D you definietly look like you are showing, that was prob me at like 12 weeks if not more... dont have any pics though sorry. Could be bloating as well? i know i had really bad bloating from like 5-6 weeks for quite a few weeks following which i believe made me look bigger than i actually was....or is it even possible you are further along?

babyis still so small at the stage you could be constsantly bloated or retaining fluid i was bloated and looked like i had a 15wk old baby in my tum when i was only 5wks:laughing:

Wow! That's an impressive 6w belly! I have kind of followed your journey, but is it possible that dates were out at all? Is there any history of multiples in your family?

As a few people have mentioned, in the early weeks a lot of it can be bloating that settles after a short time. Try not to stress as it's just a part of your body adjusting to the pregnancy!

I feel bloated and achey but my bowels are working fine and Im finally over the gassy stage which I had for a couple weeks.

And with DD at 7wks when I was in a bikini people could see a bump. Maybe its just bloated???

With multiples would you would show bigger so early?? cos the babys only the size of a peanut or something at this stage. There are NO twins in my family at all.
Last pregnancy the Dr said my size which got pretty big by 10wks was related to my hormones maybe its just that but more so this time??

Hey Jamaica,
My tummy was bigger at 6-8 weeks than it is now at 15 weeks. I think that the bloating + hormones made it swell up!
Dont worry about it, you look awesome!!

And if its twins, well.... you can call one Tey!!

Well I guess ill no tomorrow. My scan is at 3 o'clock so until then ill sit here and just wonder.
With my other pregnancies Ive never been bigger at the start then it settles down usually once I start showing thats it but who knows every pregnancy is different.

With my 2nd pregnancy, I got big very quickly, too. I was 3 months pregnant and ppl thought I was around 6 months.

When I had my twins I showed early (about 8 wks) but with my youngest I had a belly at 5wks!:eek:

Its beautiful, you look beautiful. Sure test for twins to ease your mind (there was no twins in my family either) but enjoy it hun. You deserve it!:hugs:

I don't want to alarm you, but a friend of mine recently had a Molar pregnancy. She was 8 weeks and her belly was really big.

I am sure you will be fine, it's good you're having a scan tomorrow.

I agree with the others about the fact its most likely bloating. I too seemed to have more of a belly at that stage than I do now at 16 weeks. The uterus would still be tucked away behind your pubic bone for another few weeks still, so unless you're growing a monster, that wouldnt be bub! :) Good luck at your scan tomorrow!

You're a skinny girl natrually, so it isn't surprising that your second pregnancy is showing faster. I wouldn't be too worried! :) I am jealous that you are showing and look pregnant! I'm only a few weeks behind and still just look fat!:crying:

I would be getting the dates checked because that belly is very large and considering the baby isn't an inch yet??!!:confused:

I looked like that from 6 weeks to 15 weeks without much change. A lot of bloating/fluid, but then bub started to catch up and tummy hardened... I wouldn't worry about it, just get used to wearing looser clothes earlier! I don't think things go back where they started after a bub!

Thats why I suggested the quantative HCG and couple of U/S. Chances of it being molar are so so so so so small though.

My preggy books say that when woman start "showing" at the early stages like around your 6 week mark it is due to the Bowl distending. It is probably just your body starting to shuffle things around to make space for a growing baby.... or babies !!! Twins are definitley a possibility!! Best of luck tomorrow :flowerz:

I guess by 3.30 we will no the answer. I hope and dont think its molar as my hCG levels were in the normal range but atleast after today I can rule out molar, eptopic etc.

Good luck! At 12 weeks I went to my GP to have my scan form signed ad he looked at me and said 'are you 28 or 30 weeks pregnant?'!! I was big from week six too and people are still asking me if I have twins in here. I think it was bloating to start off with, but now it's my baby giraffe and her long legs.

Wow Jamaica! I thought I was showing early but I am 11.5 (nearly12) weeks now and I am still a bit smaller than that. I agree with the bloating though. Even with DS I showed early but then between 12 weeks and 16 weeks I didn't really grow at all.

Im not sure if M/Cs at early stages would really contribute to wether you show more early with the next pegnancys..
I am now in my 6th pregnancy(4 of which were also m/cs) and i havnt showed any earlier due to them..
but as said in other posts,every one and every pregnancy is different..

I also showed really early with #1 - as I had a flat stomach before I fell pg it seemed to pop out right away. Although, my friend who was really tiny didn't show until 6 months! So I don't think there are any "shoulds" about it - as long as you've been checked out for any health problems as the other girls suggested.
