I wouldn't think so hon. Hopefully mother nature has thought of that one :p Anyway, I have two toddlers jumping and climbing all over mine, and no such luck :D

Don't ya hate that? It drives me insane too.

I'm not sure on the answer to that one but I would assume the answer to be no unless she was jumping hard enough to really hurt you. From my understanding, the amniotic sac is there as a buffer for that sort of thing but as I said, if she's jumping hard enough to hurt you then it could be a concern, not just of your water breaking but of harming the baby. I'd be trying everything to get her to stop jumping on you - how old is she?

I didn't think it was a stupid question.

I don't know the answer to your question either but I would be discouraging her from jumping on your belly. You never know what damage it might do. Perhaps encourage her to be gentle with the baby in your belly and she will probably be gentle with the bub when he/she is born too.

I highly doubt there is much that would break your waters, unless your body is ready to go into labour, and even then I highly doubt a toddler bouncing on you would do it. Im not an expert, but I think you are fine...just try and encourage her to bounce elsewhere! :) I have the same prob with mine...he loves bouncing on my tummy, haha...

I doubt it, but its probably not a good idea for anyone to be jumping on your tummy.

I was told by my ob that my uterus is like a really thick tough balloon fith about 3/4 full of water. She told me to go home and fill up a really strong balloon with water and throw it around. Seriously I could not break it if I tried! We threw it agains the wall, bounced it on the floor and squished it and nothing!

So I am sure it's fine.

I know my MIL went into labour because her little sister jumped on her belly!!! And that is how my DH came into the world!!

I don't worry so much about the water breaking - just about DD injuring the baby in some way. So we encourage her to be gentle with baby belly... and she gives it's rubs and kisses which we give her heaps of praise for.
