Question about SA test.. need advice pls.

Hey girls n guys....

Does anyone know how long it generally takes for results to come back from a Semen Analysis? We didn't have priority or urgent request, however we placed our specimen in ata Symbion last Thursday & haven't heard back yet. I contacted my FS via email that afternoon just to let him know that we in fact had submitted the sample & asked a few qustions. He stated he would let us know once he cites the results himself. He is one of the best Endo/Gyno around so I know his comitment to his work is second to none so i'm assuming he hasn't received the results yet either.

Its been a week as of tomorrow & dunno if i'm gonna be a pain in the a$$ if I ring to ask... altho i'm sure he get's calls like this a lot LOL

Anyone have any idea?

Hi Socko, hubby's sample was taken on 7/7 and part of the test was reported 11/7 to our Dr & the morphology was reported 16/7...then...it took time for the Dr to call us & arrange an appointment as they won't discuss over the phone! So it can take a while. We are being referred to a FS, I have posted a new thread tonight regarding our results & interpretation of them.

I kinda feel silly that I didnt ask when to expect the results. I kinda wanna ring tomorrow to ask, was good today & only thought bout the expecting call or email.

I do find it interesting how we will find out as we don;t live in Syd anymore where our FS is. We do travel to see him however.

I had a test previously & my FS sent me a letter in the mail. It was all good so i'm guessing thats whay. Just not sure how he will notify us. I guess if we get a call to ask to come in then we can worry lol

DF woke up very ill & hot the morning we did the test... i told them at Symbion but they still took the test. I told them he was extremely hot & the sample was lacking..... amount :o I asked if we could do it another day as I know this sample was so lacking compared to what we could "offer" LOL I also explained how hot he was (didnt tell em I grabbed his nuts to feel how hot they were tho LOL). I am hoping if it comes back bad as we expect it to now cos of DF being so crook that they will let us do another test & not just settle on the reults of this one.

Hey Socko, My DH did the test at 8am on a Tuesday and two days later the results were available Thursday pm. Goodluck I hope it goes well!

If the results come back not normal study they generally offer for you to do the test again so dont stress :)

Got letter today for DF stating his swimmers were in abundance hehe however they r hanging out together too much rofl. in other words they are sticking together/clumping/agglutinating.

We are to do another test, so am waiting for O & our fertile window to close for the cycle before we do it. Hopefully then we will get a better result as I believe his flu & high temp had something to do with it on the morning of the test. Who knows??!!
