Hawiian Luau Party - Costume ideas!!!!!!!

NEED HELP!!!!!!!!!!

my dad's 50th is coming up (like next week) and he's having a Hawiian 5-0 theme for the party and i need costume ideas

now it in freezing NSW and i haven't really gotten back to the 18 yr old body i once had so the bikini idea is out but i still would like to get into the theme of the whole day - i already have floral garlands and some jewellery

my ds and dh are covered (boardies and bright floral shirts - matching - how cute) but i'm stuck on ideas

Any ideas will be greatly appriciated

my cousin had a luau themed party last year. so i went to the $2 shop and bought a lei and you could buy a grass skirt for $2 but I didn't buy it as i only found it next time i went to the $2 shop

i also had an idea that i wanted to run by you all - i was thinking maybe going along the lines of resort wear - a pair of nice white pants, a bright floral shirt of my husbands tied in a knot at the front or back (he has a whole collection - why i married him i'll never know lol) a couple of lei's around my neck and cocktail in hand
