My little man just had his first hair cut

It had to be done, he had the oddest looking rats nest of a head of hair, but, where's my little baby gone. :(

:( I felt exactly the same when my DS had his first haircut at around 14 months. I still don't like cutting his hair. He's so angelic with his long, thick blonde hair - it just drives me insane explaining that he's not my daughter he's a boy!!

I feel a bit better about a week after the haircut, it starts to grow back a bit and they look adorable :)

Oh yay I'm not crazy. I can't believe how sad I felt watching his baby curls fall away.

My DH is going to go nuts though because he said no hair cut yet :o

DH insisted it was time for DS' hair to be cut, so on the weekend he did it himself. Now he looks like a little boy, but I think his hair is too short. And his sweet curls are gone.

Chanel's had 2 tiny trims before this... but recently, at age 3, I got her a proper cut. I hacked off her past-shoulder length curls... and now she has a bob.

I was sick and tired of fighting with her to brush it, and even after brushing it, she looked like some scraggy bogan anyway... it would get all messy and feral... so now, she's neater.

I didn't care too much, I thought she looked great.

My mother though... she almost cried. :p

LOL Oliver had his first hair cut at about 7 months, then the first REAL one at 9 months or so. Now I cut his hair myself.

One of my girlfriends little boys is 28 months too and he hasnt had one yet!

Bug is now 3.5 and was supposed to have her first hair cut a couple of weeks ago but we had to cancel. That reminds me, i need to rebook it.

Yes I kept some hair.

I must say, it's not exactly short - I made her only take 1cm off. DS was FASCINATED! Kept trying to look at the scissors. I took a few pics on my mobile for daddy.
