Hi,
I hope this will help someone with morning sickness ... I've found an inexpensive, drug free cure for my morning sickness!!!! Relief!!! :o :D I'm 11 weeks pregnant and was throwing up 3 or more times a day for the past 7 weeks. (The vomiting lasted 20 weeks with my first child so I was scared I was in for more of the same). After throwing up five times last Sunday and not wanting to move / eat / drink I sent my husband out for some anti-nausea drugs the Doctor had prescribed (really hate taking anything during pregnancy). These had no effect at all. We went out for tea because I couldn't face the kitchen ... and ate a plate of lettuce and drank a litre of powerade (sports drink which replaces electrolytes and salts). The next day I didn't vomit and felt better than I have in weeks and weeks. Since then I have been drinking about 2 litres a day of powerade and I haven't vomited in over a week, I have been able to eat normally and give my 18 month old the attention she wants. Vitamin B6 helped ease the nausea but didn't stop the vomiting. I make sure I always have something in my stomach and eat every few hours. Tiredness makes it worse.
Let me know if you have some success with this - would love to help someone else too!!! Got onto a medical site and they said that vomiting causes a loss of electrolytes and salts .... and a loss of electrolytes and salts causes vomiting. Chicken or egg stuff! Anyway ... good luck

How interesting! Will definatly give it a try next time I'm pregnant as I don't want a repeat performance of vomiting for 36wks!

Thanks.

I will remember that for next time, thanks! I also found that a scrape of vegemite on bread was great also, not that I like it too much, but it helped :)

Thanks for sharing that. I am hoping not to be pregnant again mainly due to chronic morning sickness. I found the only thing that helped me was ice like icy poles, kool pops or slurpees from 7-11.

I also had morning sickness and vomited all day, every day for 20 weeks and continued to vomit every morning for the remainder of my pregnancy. I tried everything from B6 to Ginger but nothing helped. I ended up being admitted to hospital and started taking medication ( which actually helped alot ). I panicked about being on medication but I now have a beautiful 7 month old healthy boy. I also found that icy cold apple juice also helped and toast with vegemite seemed to help a little also.
