the posts seems very quiet, so i am perking it up a bit.
Thought i would start a new post where, you just write something about anything. eg, something funny your bubba did, something you saw, something you can't stand about your MIL.... etc. it should be a good read. :smiliedance:

i will start.
My mother in law came over for a bbq last week and i made a potato salad. when i make it, it often turns out a bit runny, but because it taste heavenly (even if i do say so myself) we don't mind.
However, the MIL, saw it and said... "you didn't make that"
After a little arguement about whether or not i made it, she looked at it and said;
"you cut up your potato's to small!" it's too mushy!!!"
I could have strangled her. Needless to say we don't get on very well:banghead:

On the topic of MIL's. There are two things that really ****ed me off once.

She read MY journal that I was keeping about my family life and all the things that Wyatt had been doing and how he was developing. Not to mention some personal stuff about Daniel and I

She went through my bathroom drawers and got my pill and my script for the pill and then left in on the bathroom bench after she made sure I was taking it

But, I could go on all day on this topic like Chels

OMG  - Unbelievable. I would of went mental!

i dont really have any problems with the MIL... she had a car accident a while back and hasnt really recovered- so she isnt "all there" persay... she does some really WEIRD things, but I've learnt to just laugh them off. Im not really very comfortable around her-cos I know that Nat goes to her when we have a fight, and she hears all the bad stuff he has to say bout me...

in other news- we FINALLY got paid some money from Nats work!! Bout fricken time. It was only half of what they owed us, but at least it was something... we were starting to get nasty letters from the banks asking to 'please fix up your accounts'... so, they are all sorted now. We just owe about $2500 to family and some other people that we've been borrowing to live off over the last however many weeks we've been waiting to get paid.

we managed to get the ultrasound done, which was AWESOME... Lil girl on the way- already playing games and doing tricks in her mummy's tummy... The picture the lady gave us was of her standing on her head with her bum up against my belly... haha, looks really funny. :)

Ive been doing alot of painting lately... Im working on getting a website up and running soon, so that I can put my work on there and start selling abit more... Ive got one painting on ebay atm, but its kinda hard to put most of my work on there as most of the paintings I do are geared towards a certain person most of the time (as in, I do paintings for people mostly, and they show me what they want, so its kind of personalised- like paintings of them, and their kids or something they are passionate about)...

Anyways, you wanted a story... theres a lil run down of my life of late. :D

My MIL thinks she knows everything. the same day that i had the other arguement with her. this happened
I put charlie in bed for a nap, but because he knew there were a lot of people in our house, he didn't want to go to sleep, so he was crying
My mil said to me, "oh he's not tired", I answered back, yes he is, only to hear her reply...... "why, because YOU said so".

HOW DARE SHE, THINK SHE KNOWS MY SON MORE THAN ME.
She only lives half an hour away and has only seen him 4 times in his 6 months of life.

Although i think it is a good thing i don't see her, i think it is sad she doesn't see her grandchildren more.
She thinks we should go and visit her more, instead of her coming to see us.
God only knows why???

well, you'd think that them being YOUR kids... you'd know when they were tired etc.

OK, I have a story-but it isnt about MIL... its about my Nanna! (my mums mother)

Now, shes a cool old gypsy lady- lives in a van,is extremely artistic.. etc etc but can be abit bossy and what not.

I was talking to her the other day and she goes to me "OH jess, do me a favour- can you please call her Jinkie?? I LOVE that name!!" and I was like "No... we will call the kid what we want to call her"... and she FULLY got the ***** on with me! She was like "Oh get off your high horse Jess. SORRY for trying to show an interest in your child" and then I go "Telling me what to name my child isnt "showing an interest" Nanny"... Then she started going on about how I should 'go have a sleep- I must be tired, or maybe Im having a bad hair day??' - Totally going on like a teenager because I rejected her name choice.

I couldnt believe how she was acting to me so I turned around and said "Nanny, remember how you said to tell you if you were ever sounding like Nanna La?? Well- you are."

Now, Nanna La is her mother- she hated her- and always said what a bossy horrible b*tch she used to be... and in our family- You DONT say that to Nanny, if you want to stay IN the family.

So, she hung up on me. My mum is too scared to even call her for fear of getting a lecture about "HER DAUGHTER" (me...haha)...

OOPS... :) Im not too fazed, but apparantly I can count on that I will never hear from her again.

Mine isnt much of a story...just something we done.....we took the kids to Currumbin wildlife sanctury because they had that wildcard thing...where you pay an extra $5 & you can go as many times as you like until dec 31st.
Anyways it was so fun....Phoenix loved seeing the animals...he was so excited! ..then we went into the area where they can feed the kangaroos...oh they had a ball! :smiliedance:
Although it was so humid...i got a really bad migrane by the end of the day.... we had to go to stevens dads house.. & i was so sick.... we left & i got home had a bath & steven said just go have a lie down...that was @ 5pm....i got up at 9:45pm my migrane was gone...& hubby was so sweet to have taped big brother for me...so i watched that & went backk to bed...The kids must have been tired out from the day out they all slept great! .:)

Hi Girls,

Well my 3 year old is working out how the world works, if he see's a man walking down the street he'll say "thats another daddy", same if he see a woman walking down the street.

Anyway while at the beach on the weekend we were relaxing by the water when a lady (prob in her early 40's) walks by and said Hi to DS, he sat a happily chatted to her about how much he loves the beach - then as she walks away, he yells "by someone elses GRANDMOTHER  , she turns and said well I know Im getting older but please dont put that on me:p ... ha ha outta the mouths of babes hey...

still have not met any of you as the meets always seem to be on a thurs, not good for us. anyway, we are at 15 weeks preg, nearly up to deciding if we want to know the sex of bub or not. dp and i kept arguing whether to find out so we decided to let ds decide if he wanted to know or have a big surprise (ds is 4 and half)
he decided he wanted to know and said, if the baby has long hair like you mum its a girl and if the baby has short hair like me its a boy right. i said no jake, they look to see if the baby has a sausage or a burger (the charming names he learnt at day care from his friends to name our genitals) he goes oh yeah thats right. im just glad he has not asked the hows and whys of how baby got in my tummy.
