have just come out hospital saturday night after completion of D&C. Was diagnosed at 12weeks with a molar pregnancy. Monday begins my 12 months long (at least) of testing and hopefully not too much treatment. Before I can ever try to conceive again. Have been told I may have to undergo chemotherapy. I have to wait for the pathology to return also to get more info. Would love to hear from anyone else that has experienced the same.

Haven't been through anything like you've described, but my thoughts are with you.

Hi Tania,
Am so sorry to hear your news.....My best friend (who lives in Paris) had a molar pregnancy in January last year. She had 6 rounds of chemo as the mole became 'aggressive', which finished in July last year. She is allowed to TTC as of this July which we are all very excited about.
Please PM me if you would like her contact details. She has been through an awful lot and will be in a great position to understand how you feel right now.
:hugs:

I know what you're going through. I had a partial molar pregnancy about 3 years ago. My HCG levels came down nicely, thank goodness. From the research I have done, very few people go on to needing chemo. You will be monitored closely through bloodtests. Any indication of problems will be if your HCG doesn't decline over a period of time. I think it took at least a couple of months for my HCG levels to go back to <002. Good luck. :fingerscrossed:
