So, who has used Mandy Macs on a widdle bubba??
I love mine but have only had them since ds2 was over 12 months old. I'm am pretty much decided on them to bulk up my stash for bub #3, just wanted some insight into how they fare on newborns, little bubs???
Also wondering if anyone has any photos of htem on their littel bub/newborn so I can see the fit?

we're on an mcn break at the moment, but when I was doing it full time, I really loved the mandy macs for both my kids.
I thought I had a pic of DS in his MM in my photobucket account but I couldn't find it and it would be on the other PC, so maybe I'll come back later if I get a chance to find it for you.

we started cloth on DS when he was about 4-6 weeks old and I used mainly BBBs but also MMs and they were a great fit because I could just snappy it so it fit right. I don't think I even folded it over or anything either, they a quite a low fit so it worked well.

Oh good! I really love them, but as ds2 is now 17kg and still fits them nicely it is hard to imagine them on a newborn! Think I will take the plunge!
Still interested in hearing from others too!

I used mine on DS from about 3 weeks & they fit great! I actually found them to be one of the trimmer options for a newborn.

so.. they don't have closures- you just use snappis?
Do they come with extra options for boosting?
Are they absorbent enough for heavy wee-ers?

No, they don't have closures. You fasten them with a snappy which makes them more adjustable & a better fit for little ones.
I have the ones with a built in liner which kinda works as a pocket for the sewn on booster & it comes with an extra little booster. If I use them for overnight, I usually chuck another small hemp or bamboo booster in the & it doesn't make it much bulkier.
My little one is a pretty heavy wetter & it they last overnight (with the extra boosting) with a wool cover.

I don't have a heavy wetter, but I have used them overnight with success. I find it better to put any extra boosting on the ooutside of the nappy, between the nappy and cover, otherwise I find they are too bulky and don't sit well around the tummy.

hi-jacking thread I know,
they sound good, but how do they compare with baby beehinds bamboo?

They are not as absorbant as a BBB. If you are looking at using them on a heavy wetter overnight, I would probably go with the BBB but the MMs are a great workhorse nappy for day use on a heavy wetter.
