Love the photos....might be a silly question but why is it called Trash the Dress photo shoot?

Cos you generally 'trash the dress' in the process of doing the photo shoot.

Looks like fun

I just wanna have a fancy dress party with a 'brides and beaus' theme or something so I can wear my dress again! LOL. Seems like such a waste otherwise

love the shots

surely once the dress is trashed it could be dry cleaned:confused:

i dont think you would have it dry cleaned, as a lot of the "trash the dress" shoots are actually trashing the dress, ie ripping them and so on.

there can be things like tree climbing etc involved- so often getting it drycleaned won't help too much

A girl I know bought her dress through a Chinese dressmaker on ebay costing her $200. She did a TTD shoot (but there was no ripping of the dress or anything) and then had the dress dry-cleaned and sold it on ebay for almost what she paid for it. The buyer came to her house and looked at it before buying I think so it's not like she ripped the girl off or anything.

There's no way I'd do it if I paid big $$$ for my dress but mine cost me $212........... mmmm probably still won't do it, I love the dress too much.
