Hi we have 3 mummas in April thread who are starting TTC.
Thought it would be nice to start a thread for us so we can chat to other TTC mums who have baby's around the same age who understand the ups and downs.
I myself have not had AF so not sure when I'll be testing but feel free to add ur name and testing date here.
I will colour u Green for All systems go if u get a BFP and leave u Red Until Then.

I am still BF so also havent started getting visits from AF yet either but we arent going to be doing anything to prevent it. How exciting!

yay someone else in the same boat. In the TTC section on here theres mainly long term TTC's and I feel bad talking bout BF while TTC.

Well I have had one bleed since Dd birth but I ' am unsure if it was Af ( yes sounds odd ) but my doctor said it wouldn't of been and it only suck around for maybe 2.5 day's so it's made everything a little hard

How does 'O' work when you BF? I know technically you arent supposed to 'O' when your are but if you didnt how would you conceive lol. Confusing question...
Elmo - everyone can keep their opinoins to themselves. Its your decision when to start trying for #2. The fact that you are in a stable loving relationship should be the only deciding factor!

The O question u may O before ur AF returns. I think OPK test still work while BF I don't think the hormones affect em.
4 TTCrs in April we are a Maternal lot.
Im kinda dreadding telling people when it does happen cause I can just imagine the comments now. The ull be busy's and the ur keens. GRRRRR

I may be wrong but I think once your feeds stretch out a little, like to about six hrs overnight, then you start to O again... and then not long afterwards, AF returns. Of course, everyone's different but this is what I've been told. I would love to join you soon. ;)

Haven't mentioned that thought to DP yet as I know he would like to space them out a lot more then that!!! Like 2 years in between so we aren't TTC, but not for want on my part.
I actually miss being PG too. The feel of your little miracle growing and moving around in there.

I think that is rare if that is all they have they won't stop eating. I think it's only if they have a second option.
If you want to know any thing about age gaps etc I have a May 07 baby and a May 08 baby planned just as i wanted!!!

Id loooove 1yr-18mth gap, but its taken us 2yrs to concieve each of our boys... so unlikely to happen anytime soon!
I also havent got af back yet... but what happens is, you ovulate 2weeks before AF comes back. (im hoping she doesnt come back and i get a BFP from the first O but not holding my breath! :D)

:yes: It's a saliva microscope wonder how correct they are
As long as it's used correctly it simply serves to let you know when you're just about to "O". The dried saliva starts to look different (like broken snow flakes) as you're about to "O" (3 days prior) and then fully formed snow flakes when you ARE "O" and then they break up again before disappearing. If you test each morning, then you just know when to jump DH! ;) I found it good as had an irregular cycle after going off pill so I was able to figure out when I was "O". :thumbsup:

Wow we didnt have any thing like this in May 07 i was the only one ....12 mth age gap is ok... except if you have a sick bub like i do and a 15 mth old that wont walk :no:
Yer theres always a but lol after having 3 close together I can say that for sure lol.
Still I would rather have a but than a what if lol.
Count me in we started trying for bubba #2 on Friday night.. we are going to try for a girl but i would be happy either way..
Mind you i'm not counting my chickens on it happening anytime soon, but i would sure love it if a BFP would happen before christmas
I would love a #4, so count me in 2. I won't be charting or anything, but won't be using anything to stop it either, so if it happens, it happens
I stopped b/feeding 3 weeks ago as DS2 was allergic to my milk & I still haven't got AF back yet. He's 14 weeks old. Anyone know how long it should take?
I would also love a girl Noah's mum (I have 1 girl, 2 boys), but would be happy with either.
Just have to get my head around the fact that due to having Rhesus Incompatability, the next one would also be prem and possibly sooner than DS2 (33 weeks). We were very lucky with him & don't know if I'm pushing my luck wanting to go again.

I'm another, count me in. I am a July mummy but our little man came 5 weeks early on 31st May. I got AF back a couple of days ago and am hoping to fall pregnant by the end of the year. We aren't getting our hopes up as it took us 3.5 years to conceive DS.
I would love a little girl this time but DF wants another boy......either way I'll be happy.
Welcome Mummy_to_ Thomas & Kotakai here is hoping we are all pregnant by xmas or sooner would be even better

I was going to end of this week just for the sake of it really
lol it's hard when u have nothing to go by.
I used O tests on thurs day went crazy did like four and got pegressivley lesser results.
Did interent cheapy on tues got faint line and did another one today and got nothing.
Starting to wonder if I did O or wether it was just normal fluctuations lol.
I decided I will test 14 days after we started so thats on the 26th. Not expecting anything though as I haven had AF and the chances or starting TTC and Oing the same time is pretty damn low lol.
Jen good luck maybe u will be the first.

Theres been only 1 bd that cause possibly slighty cause a :bfp: I doubt it will be though I think Im just getting over excited and wasting money really

We are hoping for no more than a 18months age gap. I have a feeling that it will be around that as it took as soooo long to conceive DS.

i did a test yesterday morning :bfn:
then got some sticky CM yesterday arvo... and now i have (badddd) ovulation pains!!!
DH and i DTD two days ago, so we wont do it tonight to increase our girl chances. im not worried what bub is either way but since we have the option i may as well try hey!

lol no not yet... but hopefully in two weeks!!
when we were ttc harlan i only ovulated three times in the 19months so just ovulating is a big thing for me! lol

I look at our little man now and think wow i was pregnant with you at this age when DD was 3 months.... and they seem so little.....
oh wow just reading this thread i get all excited and im tempted to go jump dh. we are considering ttc. well actually we decided to go for it, tried a few times no luck prob as am still breast feeding but now ive chickened out again lol. so i may or may not join u soon. think ill go for one more just not sure when exactly

I'll be testing in about 2 weeks. I'm pretty sure I o'd a couple of days ago but who knows, cause I've got PCOS so I don't always O. Good luck everyone :hugs:

Well I had pain yesterday that I had been to the docs for BC now I know about it im thinking it may be O pains. so I will test in 2 weeks from Yesterday. Probly nothing but we will see.
nothing much happening here, i caved and tested yesterday, of course it was a bfn lol i think im gonna wait til thursday to test, cos i tested with Harlan on the day AF was due and got a BFN, tested 3 days later and had a bfp... (thats if af doesnt show of course!)

Guys i found the Discovery brand HPT's are the best to use... 3 out of 4 of my pregnancies in the last 2.5 years were found by this brand when the doc's tests failed...

It's a :bfn: for me this month.. Not really bothered but just wish there was some way i would tell what side i am ovulating on so i know if we should try or not.. Plus AF was over a week late so now i don't know when to start trying again ARGHH

Def not crazy! I finally got my AF last week, 17 weeks after having him, and I was just wanting it to come so I could figure out my cycles too. It was really painful though, so hoping the next one's not like that.

Well I've just started weaning Nathan....
Still no AF since pre Nate... all pregnancy symptoms tho....
BFN's left right and centre- bt's 4 wks ago where neg...
we've decided to leave dr's etc and wait and see - either i'll eventually get AF or belly will start swelling.. lol

It's been a bit quiet in here lately, anymore :bfp:'s ?How's everyone going? Anyone close to testing? I'll be testing probably around 27th. Good luck everyone :thumbsup:
It was a :bfn: for me this month too. It is only my 2nd AF since I had Chais, but my cycle was 31 days! I used to only have 26 day cycles, so I don't think my body is back to normal yet.

i havent had af yet so just randomly doing tests now and then incase i concieve before af coming back (not likely but oh well lol)

DH asked if i was preg tonight, apparently iv been snappy the last few days, so i did a preg test.... there was a faint clear line... but i just thought id do one in the morning... then i wiped.... AF has finally shown her face... so BFN for me :laughing:
very excited though, now we can start charting :D :D

OMG girls, I haven't been on here for months but how excited am I to find some of you girls ttc again!! I'm very very jealous, I could so go one more time but Hubby not want anymore so I'm hanging up my boots!! :(

Just wondering, do you know whether you're ovulating? I've only had 2 AF's since Chais was born, but didn't haven't any typical O things like CM or pain. :confused:
I have my :fingerscrossed: for this cycle, but if AF does come, I'm going to get that day 21 blood test to see if I ovulated.
If I'm not, do you think they'll do anything yet, or just say keep trying for a while?

I'm having more bloods on saturday to check on my levels.. on the down side i'm low immunity to rubella and have done some research OMG i'm so worried now! I also get to have my 1st ultrasound at 6 weeks to make sure bubs is where it's suppose to be..

Congrats can i just assure you i had a low rubella imunity too... my 2 are 12 months apart so i waited until Jarvis was born before i had sienna's 12 month needles done... i was told not too worry its not a problem... Due to complications after losing many previous bubs i had scans from 4 weeks every 2 weeks for a while...
i think i have jumped the gun is getting excited about a BFP, my levels are rising but not doubling things aren't looking to good for me they think it's a belighted ovam going to the gyno tomorrow for his opinion..

I am 8 days past AF due date. Well what I thought was AF due date. going buy my normal cycle. I got my first AF after DD on the 30th of Oct.
I guess It is a :bfn: for me and the breastfeeding is just throwing my AF out of time.

We haven really spoken about it DH dropped a few hints. I am a lil worried he is only cause he thinks its what I need to feel better. Though I think he likes the idea just worried about the needing a new car thing. Even if he was desperate for another baby he wouldn show it he is to male.lol Not to mention he hates planning he gets angry and is like will you just let nature do it's thing. LOL
We haven been using any contraception but between the D&C and breastfeeding. Im not thinking it will happen very soon anyway.
Bex i had M/C in March then again In June then Sienna was born in May then Jarvis again in May.
After the D&C in March my Ob said it was fine to try again as soon as AF arrived after the D&C
