Hubby and I BD'd on CD10, but i think i ovulated on the CD14. We also BD'd on the night of CD14 but im wondering if we have done it either too early for the first round (would like a girl!), but then we have done it too late on the second round. I got a positive OPK on CD12 so im presuming ovulation was either CD13 or CD14....Do you think we have blown it this month???

Hi Nez, doesn't sounds like you have jumped the gun at all! If you BD on CD10 and 14, and you think you ovulated on CD13 or 14 then there is every chance that the timing was good! With everything I read (and obsess over) it is so clear that this is not an exact science and I reckon as long as you BD around the right time then there is every chance...

Nez I believe you done what you could correctly as well.
My FS told me last week that once u get a OPK+ then that let's you know your body is about to ovulate, not that it is at that moment. Therefore u can O up to 36hrs after a OPK+.

I don't think the timing will be at fault if you don't get the result you want. It could be a number of other factors.

Thankyou both for your replies! I guess whatever will be will be!! Besides, at the moment we are just letting nature take its course and if it happens it happens - but that doesnt mean i cant help it along with some insider knowledge!I also posted another question yesterday about opks and the fact that i seem to have had a positiv or almost positive for a few days now - so whether i have ovulated already or am still about to i guess i will have to wait and see what happens at the end of the month.Now just have to wait for dh to get home and see if he is up for another round of BD'ing!

your timing sounds good :fingerscrossed:

just try not to stress to much if u dont get a BFP (im allowed to say that cause im also ttc :laughing:) cause even with the correct timing in fertility healthy couples there is only a 20% each month
