View Full Version : Chiropractor for reflux
Just thought I would let you all know that I was recommended to go to a chiropractor for bubs reflux by a friend of a friend.
She said it got rid of her baby's reflux after 3 sessions.
I went yesterday for first time, and she didnt get a reflux bout last night and has seemed so much less restless and such.
I am going to another session tomorrow.
They say 2 times a week for up to 8 weeks but I see results already.
So from a few people I know, maybe give it ago - it seems very effective
We took both our babies to the chiro, and for DD it was magic with her reflux. Took only 4 sessions over 3 weeks for her and she was 150% better than before we took her.
With DS we didn't wait to see if he was going to have reflux - he had his first session at 13days old. He was a bit of a chucky baby, but a happy chucker - he never cried...whether that was luck or chiro I don't know, but we like to think it was the chiro.

I think they are talking about some kind of massage with your thumb just underneath the sternum. (Which I think should be the middle of the rib cage) shhh I'm tired. :o
I did it with DS when he was a bit up-chucky and it helped.

:flowerz:I took my daughter to the chiro when she was 6 weeks old to see if it helped her reflux. A friend recommended going as her boys have gone from the time that were a couple of days old. The chiro told me that the reflux and wind can be caused from a baby's spine being out of place due to labour and birth so I thought well this should work for her as I had a 40 hour labour with my daughter and ended up having to have an emergency c section at the end of it all. He manipulated her spine and area around and she seemed to be ok. He said that we would have to come back for another session as it was still a little bit out. That night she screamed and screamed like she never had before. It didn't help us with her reflux but it may help others. Just be very wary and careful as their little bones are still growing and you don't want to be playing with their development.
