New To Bub Hub - Anyone from Cairns??

I have just joined Bub Hub and have been stuck on here for hours reading everything!

I have recently moved to Cairns from Brisbane and is wondering if there is any mums from Cairns that can guide me around all the baby places in Cairns to check out!

Hi there, I'm not from Cairns, But I have a girlfriend who is moving up in a week from Brissy too, so I will be visting regularly. though I wouldnt have a clue whats around up there

KaidensMum: Do you know what suburb your friend is moving to? Im in Gordonvale which is about 20-25 mins south of Cairns. I dont have a car and we live on the highway so there isnt any buses to travel on so its hard to get out and make new friends up here. :no: Thats where i hope BubHub will come in handy and get me in contact with locals that can point me in the right direction :yelclap:

Cairns is a great place to hoilday and if you have older kids than the coconut resort up here is a kiddie club med!! They have everything a kid would want from huge jumping pillows to puttputt and little cars to cruise around in!!

I don't live in Cairns but I live probably 1/2 hr south from you in Innisfail. I've only lived here 2 1/2 yrs, and we are off to Townsville late 2009. I grew up on the Tablelands (or Hinterlands or whatever they call it now), and spent alot of time in Cairns. Still do, we are having our 3rd bub there next week :D I love Cairns, I hope you are enjoying living there ;)

Hi Sissy,

We were in Innisfail on Sunday, we went to the crocodile farm :-) Testing out the new video camera!

Yes, we love it in Cairns, its a much better lifestyle and not so busy and rushed as Brisbane. It has been hard moving away from our families who are all in Brisbane still but sometimes you need to break the cycle and put yourself way out there to get a better life. I think we will be here for some time and we are working on convicing other family members to make the move too :yelclap:
