Hi girls,
I am new here, so I'd first introduce myself, I am 32, and I have a 3 year old son, and I am pregnant again, 10 weeks.

My concern is, that I have a vaginal discharge, which is light brown (or mixed yellow/pink/brown sort of - don't even know how to describe the colour properly), it's kind of the same amount as I have been experiencing through the pregnancy, but only it became darker in a few days or so. When I saw it yesterday, I got really worried, and went to the hospital, they did some blood tests, and urine samples, etc, but it doesn't show that there is a sign of infection, however, I still feel very nausious and fatique, and urine showed that I am still pregnant, but at my doctors today they couldn't find baby's heart rate, so they organized an ultrasound for monday, I can't wait that long, I will be going crazy.
If my symptoms sound like it may be missed abortion, could anyone tell me, if the discharge supposed to be very frequent in that case, or every 3-4 hours is still a sign of it anyway, because I don't notice it every minute, it only appears in so many hours.
I don't feel any pain, or temperature, I just feel very tired and fatique last few days, and very nausious, can't eat anything at all, not even drink, I force myself to drink glass of water.

Please help, moms, I won't sleep well.
Thanks in advance.
L.

Hi Lillianne,

You honestly won't know the answer until Monday and the waiting game is so hard. When I lost my bub, I had a very small amount of yellow-brownish discharge over a couple of days. Not enough to really need anything more than a panty-liner (sorry if TMI) and not constant but constant enough to know it was there.

Then again, many ladies on this forum have had a similar discharge being old blood from implantation or small placenta bleeds, or even major fresh blood bleeds which have gone on to be completely perfect pregnancies.

There are so many things it could be but all you can do now is wait (unless you get really concerned and just go to the hospital which is what I did - they sent me for an U/S then that same day - a Sunday in the middle of the Easter weekend).

Fingers crossed for you - the wait must be so difficult but you can't guess what the outcome will be. Positive thoughts to you :fingerscrossed: :hugs:

Firstly take a deep breath and relax. It is not at all unusual for a Dr not to hear a heartbeat with a hand held doppler at 10wks. Also heaps of discharge is normal in pgcy (all the way through), the fact yours is brownish is better than being pink or bright red. Brown means old blood, chances are it is just leftover implant spotting mixed with normal amounts of Cervical discharge, sex can also iritate the cervix causing a slight bleed (been there done that), so it could be from sex if you have done the deed in the last couple of days.
I know Monday seems so far away, but try to relax and take it easy, stressing won't help at all.
Hope it turns out to be nothing :hugs:

Lillianne, I just wanted to send you a :hugs: and wish you al the best for Monday. I am sure everything will be fine. This is something experienced by a lot of people. It is quite common not to be able to hear the heartbeat especially earlier on as it depends on the posiion of bub etc..
