(we were after an inside wedding cos i couldn’t be bothered setting up a 'backup' plan incase it rains…lol how lazy am I)

I got married on Mooloolaba beach, but had the reception at Clios in Palmwoods. I dont know if that would be to far away or not. It has pretty gardens that you can married in and the food is to DIE for!! and resonably priced.
Let us know how u go!

We got married before we moved up here, so I'm not all that clued in on good venues around the Coast, but I know there are lots of great venues around Maleny. We went to a wedding in Feb in Maleny. I can't for the life of me think what the place was called though sorry!!
It had lovely gardens, rooms to stay the night for bride/groom and/or guests & had good options for both indoors & outdoors (the whole rainy day scenario!!).
Unfortunately I no longer have the invitation, but if I think of it, I'll post.

Try easyweddings.com.au - Its been ages since I have been on the Sunny Coast (heading up tomorrow - yay) but the Outrigger Mooloolaba are a 4 1/2 star resort with fantastic views. They have a courtyard on the 6th floor that makes you feel like your right on the water - its really well set up and they do a lot of weddings there. They also have a function room which would be VERY handy for the reception, plus ALL the rooms have spa's in them!!!
And, whats more, there are all the pubs and clubs around incase you feel like having the party go on for longer! (My hubby and I went out after our wedding with a few of our guests and I have pics of me playing pool in my wedding gown!)
I got married in march in the park at golden beach and had the reception at Alfies on the Beach in Caloundra. The restaurant is new and has a great view of Bulcock beach and Bribie Island. The service was very friendly and professional, we had such a great lunch there. If you need a photographer I can recommend one. Ours was cheaapppp! Initially I was a bit worried because it was so cheap but i am so stoked with our photos! And the photographer was lovely. i can pm you with more details if you are interested!:)
Before becoming addicted to Bubhub, I was addicted to
www.bridesdiary.com.au (http://www.bridesdiary.com.au)
If you wanted to have a look through their forum message boards you'd find heaps of ideas I'm sure, or you could ask on there.

Oh yes please!!! My parents have been mentioning Alfies to us..whats that one like inside? oh and the photographer details would be great..were on such a tight budget for the wedding!!:( (we don't move to Caloundra till 1Aug...my hubby was born there but he can't think of anywhere that we would really like! (Unfortunately our 'posh' style doesn’t always equate to our wallets!! )
Thanks for all the tips ladies, I'll suss them all out..its soo hard trying to decide on the perfect one!!:fingerscrossed:
Alfies is lovely inside. Very elegant but simple. Floor to ceiling window/doors, balcony with a view to the beach. great because it is only 5 months old. we paid $50 a head for lunch and then put money over the bar, could possibly email you some pics of the restaurant so you can check it out (from our wedding photos). I will find you the number for the photographer.:)

We had our reception at the waterfront hotel at bli bli... where the endeavor replica is.. the reception room is very well done out and it's not too expensive.. the thing we liked about it was the fact that the limit of guests is 130 where as alot of the other places around the coast are 50 to 80... and we had 110 guests... but we found them very wonderful and i have been told over and over our wedding had the best food than any other wedding people had been to.
