Hey:wave:

Just wondering how long it took your bub to walk after they started pulling themselves up to standing???

Also how old was your bub, when they plulled themselves up? Cruised? Walked?

Thanks Elice:D

Hi Elice,

My DD1 pulled herself to standing at 6 1/2 months and walked at 9 months and 3 days. DD2 pulled herself up at about 7 months and is 11 months now but still not walking.

DD1 didn;t crawl but DD2 does so maybe that is why she isn't in a huge hurry to walk yet.

p.s. to delete your second post - go into edit for that post and at the bottom of the text box it has a delete this message check box, check it and save changes and hey presto your message will be gone!!

Children take different amounts of time.. quite a few of our bubs at work however are walking now, they have been freestanding for a couple of weeks but are taking steps confidently at 14 months. one did not crawl however until 2 months ago! :smiliedance: go bubbas go!

My 9yr old took her first steps at 6 1/2mnths and was walking proper 2 weeks later.(She never crawled & didn't sit up until she was 11mnths) My 7yr old walked at 10mnths and my nearly 11 month old has been pulling herself up from before she could crawl but has only just in the past few days started to take a few wobbly steps, but boy does she climb. Have found her on the kitchen table, up the bookshelf, you name it. Bare in mind my 9yr old is an exception & was walking very early but is quite advanced for her age in other respects as well so that might have somthing to do with it. I have been told most babies walk by 2yrs at the latest.

DD started cruising and walking while holding our hands at around 10.5 months. Her first proper steps on her own were around 13.5 month I think.

Don't be in too much of a hurry. Once they start you'll find yourself wishing they would just stay still for a moment!

Ash started crawling at 7 months and pulling herself up on the furniture at about 7.5 months.
She is now 9.5 months and can take about 5 or 6 wobbly steps on her own, i'd say she'll have it sussed by 10 months!

I think she means adjusted age as her baby was probably quite a bit pre-mature (my step mum has to say that to because her baby was 3mth prem)

Thanks guys for all the replies, I'm in no hurry for her to walk, its just that she crawled at 5.5mths, she started pulling herself up and standing at 6mths, she is 6.5mth now and shes trying to cruise and step for furniture to furniture. I am hoping she wont walk to early, but looks as though she might. ARHH!!!

No question is a dumb question!

Yep as Kaileys mum said its cos Zach was 9 weeks premmie everything for the first 2 years is adjusted (tho really he needed it adjusted until he was 3 which is when he caught up) weight/height/development :)
