New mum looking for new friends

Hi all

I'm a new mum living on the north side of Brisbane. I have a happy healthy 3 1/2 mth old boy named Andrew. I'm a stay at home mum and slowly going crazy from the lack of social interaction now that I'm no longer working! Theres only so many things you can say to a bub before you start to feel like you're losing the plot....Andrew is well versed on the storylines of the day time soapies, poor boy...!

I'd love to get in touch with anyone else in a similar situation and keep in touch via MSN or email or whatever, just looking to share stories, make friends and all that.

Hi I can relate to missing social interaction at work, I am 28 and I haven't worked outside the home (except for selling cosmetics from home) for six years. I was a young mum and my friends weren't all that interested in me when I couldn't go out much, but I love my kids to bits! I have Will 8, Sarah 6, Maverick 4 and Harrison 21 months, hoping to have number 5 soon. Married to a great guy, he is my best friend and I have a lot of acquaintances but would love to make more friends. Hoping to chat to anyone about babies, kids or life in general! Hi Nicole! Great to hear from you. We are on the northside as well and I, along with the other mums that have replied, empathise with you. Mothering is the best and most challenging job we will ever do but we need friends. We moved up here January last year and had our second child Owen in May - we also have a beautiful 4yo girl Annelise. My husband travelled between here and Sydney for most of last year, so I didn't get time to meet many new people. Hi Emma,
Lol! That was so funny and I can definitely relate. I constantly sing songs off kids' shows and I make up a lot of songs for my kids and sing them..... haven't caught myself doing it in public yet but my two oldest kids and I went to see ' Madagascar ' the other day and we've been singing ' I Like to Move It Move It' ever since!!
