DS who is almost 4 months old has started cap napping. He does the occasional 1 1/2 hr nap but generally he only does 40 mins. Do you think i sould be resettling him?

He generally sleeps all night 8pm to 7am but the last 2 nights he has woken at 4am.

He does not have a dummy. I simply swaddle and put him down and he settles within 5 minutes. Sometimes in the morning i find him with his arms out and i think on occasion he sucks his fingers in the early morning to resettle himself (only guessing as he doesn't wake me).

Am i complaining about nothing?????

Ella is only a few weeks older than your champ I think. And yes up until about a week ago she was doing the same thing. Drove me nuts actually.
But over the past week she has been having a growth spurt, now she is sleeping really well during the day. It makes it easier to get some chores ( & some bloggin!!) done now thats for sure. Hang in there........:)

Babies tend to sleep more when they are having growth spurts. My DSinL is having the same problem. But we have come to the conclusion that if DD wakes during the day after one cycle and she is happy then that's okay. If she wakes and is cranky then she needs to be resettled. If DD sleeps well of a night then thats good too. So all in all I wouldn't worry too much. If bub sleeps of a night and is happy and content during the day and getting enough feeds then that's good.
