View Full Version : Night wakes for 2 yr old
Hi Ladies,
Looking for some advice. I have a 27mth old who goes to bed no problems but will wake 2-3 times a night and wont go back to sleep unless I lie down with him or he comes into our bed.
I am pregnant with no. 3 and it is going to get harder to do this as I get bigger.
My husband travels alot at the moment so even when he is home I dont get a break because he will just cry and yell until I go in because that is what he is use too.
Normally I would probably not give in as easily as I do but I dont want him waking my 10 mth old.
Anyone have a similar problem.
thks
Hey Macsmum, i have a 20mth who does exactly that, i put it down to he is hungry cause always wants milk, he is off his food atm. But by the time the 3rd waking comes i ushering him to my bed so as to not wake my littlin either...so im sorry i cant be of any help but thought i would let you know you are not alone in this situation. :)

I have no advice just wanted to say I am having the same problems with my 25mnth old. He's still waking wanting milk too and I am just too sleep deprived to say no and deal with the screaming :o
I'll be keeping an eye on this thread too :)
OMIGOD me tooooo!!!!! :hair:
My 28 month old has been doing this for over a month. I am sooooo tired. Up 2, 3 sometimes 4 times a night. Two nights ago, when my DH and I were so tired and couldn't be bothered putting him back to bed for the 4th time, he climbed on top of me while I was asleep and curled up on top of the doona and fell asleep - on me! Man... we just got over a newborn (who is now 6 months and sleeps BEAUTIFULLY through the night!). DS1 was always a good sleeper too so I don't know why he has started doing this???
I am so OVER this!!!! Please is there ANYBODY out there that can HELP us!!!! Why do they do this???? Its obviously a common thing so surely someone has some answers????? PLEASE!!!! :crying:

:yes:My 2 yr old is doing exactly the same,..sometimes crying for over an hour in the middle of the night:hair: crazy that our 6week old is sleeping, and the 2yr old is up all night!
Must be a developmental stage:confused:
How many of our bubs are getting their 2yr old molars?
I thought DS was done but he's dribbling like crazy atm. Maybe that's part of it? Although my DS is yet to actually sleep through the night so this is nothing new for me *sigh*
Oh Ladies,
Sorry but I am kind of glad I am not the only one. He isnt hungry, he has never asked for a botttle. It is definately a comfort thing because as soon as I lay down next to him or bring him into our bed he goes straight back to sleep again.
But it is doing my head in because I know he can sleep thru the night he has done that since he was 6 months old.
Hope we get some advice from someone who has come out the other side, and is still sane.

i have t 27 month old to that does excatly that. its driving me insane, i have no idea what to do. he used to sleep all night from 6 weeks then he just stopped. i also have a 14 month old so i to get up so that he doesnt wake her up. its not his teeth ive checked them. we have to get up so many times and its the same thing over and over. he comes into our room so we put him back to bed, he gets in our bed so we get him out and put him back to bed :crying: my partner works away alot to.
DD will be 3, she is doing the same. Though she has just cut her last 2yo molar, and she seems to have settled down now.
Other than that, we have a reward chart for sleeping all night:thumbsup:
Good luck girls.
Glad to hear she is sleeping better now Rowie :hugs:
