Hi Girls,

I posted this in another thread but not sure I put it in the right place so will post here too (am still learning!).

I have a beautiful 16 month old DD but sadly I recently lost my second baby at 11 weeks. I am dealing with that too but that is a whoooole other issue...

I have a large cyst (8.5cm) on my ovary which is being removed by laproscopy (sp?) on 29/5. It has been a long, emotionally draining, scary journey to get to this point (was diagnosed in Dec 05). I am preparing myself for the fact that I will probably lose my ovary.

I wanted to hear about other people's experiences and how soon they were able to conceive following something similar? Any thoughts you could share would be most appreciated.

BB.

Hi there - I'm sorry to hear of your loss...

I've had laproscopic surgery twice in the last year for the removal of an ectopic pregnancy. After the first operation I fell pregnant 3 months later. Yes, I did lose this second bub too - but the fact is that I DID fall pregnant. It doesn't matter that it was ectopic, but that I was still able to get a BFP (even if it was in the wrong place).

We are still TTC #1 at the moment.

Best Wishes :hugs:

Hi Ally,

Thanks for your reply - I've spent a bit of time in the 'trying to concieve after loss' forum lately and remember reading some of your posts. I am so sorry for your losses, when I hear of stories like yours I am so eternally grateful for my beautiful daughter.

I wish you all the best in your journey.

Who knew it would be so painful for some of us??
